To be fair, we aren't the first team to struggle against Dan James on a good day

No, but we are the only team to be beaten 7-0 at Leeds since 1972.

And some reckon we've achieved nothing this season.

Reminds of when Warnock’s Leeds were beaten 7-3 at Elland Road by Forest.

When Stoke appointed Robins I thought it would only work out if he was given a pot of money to get the players he needed.

It seems he preferred to stick with the existing squad and bring in two loans: Ali Al-Hamadi and Josh Wilson-Esbrand

Maybe he doesnt have an immediate impact at clubs, but is someone with more of a longer-term plan.

Is his approach the right one for them given their relegation worries?

Impossible to tell with Stoke because, incredible though it may seem, their long term planning is even worse than ours.

    True.

Robins has gone on record saying he doesnt like to hop from one job to another, but enters into each position with a view to it being a project for the long term.

    Very unlike Stoke.

Arent Stoke owned by the Coats family?
If so relegation wont hurt them financially at all, maybe after chopping and changing, they have gone with someone who has an excellent track record, who has gone on to recruit and develop players for big money transfers.

It could be a case of holding the fort this season or at least attempting to, and then starting the whole process of clearing out the current squad and building for the future, who knows?

It might take a bit of time, but whatever they were doing previously hasnt worked, so maybe theres a change of plan from the top

Getting 3 points tomorrow is our priority , maybe someone in our boardroom will look at other club models when we get to the end of this season

Im not holding my breath on that one

    Interesting thoughts.

Having recently been in the third tier, and getting out of it, maybe they could be less fearful of getting stuck down there forever?

Relegation will hurt them financially the same as it would us.

Something like a 6-7million reduction in income per season.
Not ideal but nothing like the drop of losing premier league money.
Should be manageable through reducing the wage bill, maybe one or 2 player sales.

Interestingly if we were to sell out the ground every week in league one it might pretty much make up the difference in income

Clubs like Bolton and Wrexham through different means are able to raise similar revenues in league one as non parachute payment championship clubs

Coventry fans reckon his number two was very important, Adi Viveash left in July and he did struggle after that, and Coventry improved massively under Lampard. Stoke aren't great and this is a winnable game.

Clouds gathering over the CCS tomorrow. Literally.

All week the forecast has been for warm sunshine on Saturday afternoon. Now it's light rain from 3pm onwards...

Im not sure if youre in the top 20 rich list of the UK that it would really make a difference

Lets put it this way, they wont be wondering around the supermarket looking for yellow stickers any time soon

It is true though isnt it? Hull seem more than able to go away to the top 4 and win. Yet we beat them not long ago.

The way this cardiff side is the evidence is very clear we only have a chance of getting points against teams at the bottom or mid table teams on a bad run.

We have zero chance at Sheffield United.

Yeah I know TLG has a thing about 6 pointers not existing but it's so obviously a double boost or double negative if we win or lose.

It will be a draw today though.
