speaking highly of our fan base again .
Without getting into a Bulut bashing thread on here think he deserved to get at least another full year under his belt with us .
🗣️Erol Bulut : There was an amazing fan support in Cardiff. I experienced that pride as well.

Unfortunately, the team is not progressing well at the moment.
I hope they stay in the league.
That fanbase deserves it. They deserve their team to stay in the league. pic.twitter.com/1ok7dNoK2f
We got 40 points from his last 38 games. He was a terrible manager, and I know this for a fact as he was appointed by Vincent Tan.
How about we stop pining for failed managers, and look for someone half decent? The only ex manager we've had since Warnock that wasn't a donut was Harris.
Bulut was awful! We would have been down by Xmas if he had stayed at the helm. Riza is bad, but Bulut would have had us obtaining even less points if he had stayed in charge.
The mistake was to replace the incompetent Bulut with Riza
As I've said too many times before, we had such a good start to last season that it enabled us to be shit for 6 months and still finish in the top half. Those first 3 months were generally very good, could have been better if we could have held onto some leads, then it all went wrong.
Some fans make the mistake of just looking at the season as a whole - 12th being something to treasure after a couple of poor seasons. But the reality is that some fans were talking playoffs for most of it, that January was going to be the time to strengthen for a promotion push. What happened? 6 months of poor performances, pathetic negative football and it was only due to pinching some comeback wins when we didn't deserve them that kept us up there.
Years ago under Dave Jones, we were top of the table for the opening months, kept hold of a top 6 spot after a poor run, then folded late on and finished 13th. That season was a failure. Like a marathon runner who starts well but can't keep the pace. Any season that starts well and fades badly can't be a success - the initial great start is long forgotten amid a long spell of mediocrity and rubbish. That 13th placed finish looked ok after a 12th placed finish the season before, but we started the following season in the same form (badly) and Jones was lucky to keep his job.
However, things were much worse at the start of this season than they ever got in the worst of moments under Dave Jones. Sadly, some fans like rewriting history when things aren't going well. Bulut deserved the sack. Riza deserves the sack. But both have some sympathy from me as they're not the sole reason for the club being in this position. Far from it.
Bulut was an awful manager and we were heading down anyway with him. We had a better squad last year and we're still useful at set pieces.
It's unfair to compare Riza with Kevin Cullis as he's not that bad but it was a shocking appointment and I dont believe any other Football League Club would have made such a stupid appointment but it was entirely predictable by the clowns running the club.
An awful summer window. El Ghazi , Willock , Chambers have been awful signings.
Still I'm sure with a decent window in January a half decent coaching set up would have seen us survive.
But removing Bulut was correct.
Of course you do. But then youre a deeply weird individual who developed a bizarre fixation with Bulut from day one simply because the word Futsal was mentioned on his Wikipedia page. The fact that youre still pining after him is both hilarious and idiotic, but its no surprise.
Bulut was an awful manager who sanctioned some terrible signings, including that of Omer Riza. The football under him for many months was stale, negative and ineffective. He and his coaching staff led the team to the worst start to a season in Citys entire history. He got what he deserved - the sack - but the truth is he never should have been given a new contract in the first place.
Bulut was an awful manager, should never have been given a new deal. He loves to spin the media tho.
Hudson Lamouchi 21st
Bulut 12th
Riza 22nd/23rd, with a better squad, but tries to play and scores the right type of goals for some![]()
Eight games, way too short a period to judge when we have a full season.
People are all now acknowledging that was a tough start to a season.
But I get your point, he had a terrible start despite the tough games had to go as he had lost the dressing room.
Riza would look far worse if the players hadn't given so much with his new Manager bounce, that early run boosted his results but over most of a season, he's fallen way short.
Bulut was shite - deserved to be sacked, at the end of last season.
Riza is shite - deserves to be sacked and should never have been in charge for a single game.
Grant walks into our team. McGuinness and Phillips walk into it. There's 3 players who make a massive, fundamental difference to the way we play. Salech is the only player that gets into last season's team automatically, therefore, we had a better team last year.
You can make an argument about some of the centre mids but that's like moving deck chairs around the Titanic, fat lot of good it'll do.
