Thread: GLAMMY

Some better news, Glamorgan managed to get a second bowling point off the last ball of the 110th over (the last over that qualifies for bonus points). Good to see Van Der Gugten getting a couple of wickets as well, but Gloucestershire still have 440 odd for 6.

    Excellent news.
    Decision to bowl vindicated

It’s grim. One 50 partnership replying to 500 and lots. And that ended at 50! Second innings defeat out of 2 incoming.

It’s uncanny how often Glamorgan lose a wicket to the first ball I watch, this time it was Kellaway - I’m going to have to start watching all sport as a neutral!

Good luck with that! You know you cant. Short of the odd 9 darter by Gerwen price I am desperately struggling to find a positive in any Welsh sport that I care about. Bellamy is my only hope!

    Re: GLAMMY

...and you have to wait for June for the Bellamy fix

    Re: GLAMMY

    Ingram goes to 100, 323-5.

    Re: GLAMMY

Would be nice to see them put the foot down now and go for 450 in 110 overs. 20 overs to get 130. That crappy innings from Carlson hasn't helped. But we really need to be picking points up here. If they fall in a heap then that's a risk worse taking I reckon.

    Re: GLAMMY

Maybe they did take my advice and end up falling in that heap 🤣

    Re: GLAMMY

Glamorgan needing 12 to avoid the follow on with one wicket to fall.

  11. #6386

    Re: GLAMMY

Surprise, surprise Glamorgan fail to avoid the follow on and are 4-0 in their second innings - they’re off for bad light at the moment.

    Re: GLAMMY

    Close of play, Glamorgan 106-0.

    Re: GLAMMY

Glamorgan seconds at home for the next 3 days Vs glos. Free entry at Sophia gardens. Some decent players playing aswell, Bevan, douthwaite and billy root

Not sure why Root hasnt been with the first team for the opening two games.

But on the second xi tea sheet Root is only playing days2 and 3. Whats that all about? With first team today or some concussion incident?

commentators said root is with the first team today, not why hes there

    Re: GLAMMY

Looks like root was part of the squad for the first team. Kind of begs the question of why he wasn't playing I suppose. In quite a weak 13 he certainly wouldn't of been one of the 2 I dropped

    Re: GLAMMY

Better effort. At least they dug in and fought with the bat. But how the hell are they going to bowl an opposition out this season for less than lots?

    Re: GLAMMY

    Good draw.

However coming up to 3 years since glamorgan last won a championship game outside cardiff.......

Meanwhile in the Second XI Championship, ASA Tribe gets a double hundred and Tom Bevan 160 not out. Dan Douthwaite also played.

And its happened again! Id forgotten that Glamorgan were playing today and so only started watching the stream about five minutes ago and, of course , they lose a wicket to the first ball I see - not a bad start after being put in though, currently 46-1 against Middlesex at Lords.

I see Gorvins been left out again

Very surprised to see Leonard picked again after a very innocuous opener last week v Glos.

    Re: GLAMMY

Things are getting better, Carlson out to the second ball I watched after switching over from the football -118-3.
