I was listening to the VFT Ninian podcast a few weeks ago and they were laughing that they had an accepted Instagram friend request off him half an hour before we were due to kick off at QPR.

He’s looked like a broken man from the last few press conferences.

If you want to be a top level football coach / manager you really shouldn’t be reading social media and you need to develop a thicker skin.

On here you see a poster making a point , somebody disagrees and then it develops, quite a few of the regular posters seem to take umbrage if you have the temerity to disagree with them and keep going until they think they’ve “won”. Riza seems to be adopting that approach in his media interviews and that won’t end well.

He is in a high profile role and needs to ignore social media , it certainly looks like it has taken its toll on him from his appearance. As also already mentioned maybe reading comments is also affecting what sometimes seems to be very haphazard team selections and substitutions

That’s an interesting observation and analogy but has made me wonder is James Wales actually Omer Riza?

I don't disagree with the idea that he should ideally rise above it, I just think it's a bit silly when people get upset by it

I’m not in the least bit upset by it. On the contrary, I think it’s hilarious. Riza is obviously not an intelligent individual. Far from it. However, he does have a significant ego and he seems to genuinely believe he’s superior to the supporters - he’s made that clear on several occasions. He apparently thinks fans don’t understand the game.

This situation doesn’t require any in-depth analysis. The truth is Riza shouldn’t be anywhere near a Championship management job. Isn’t that obvious to everyone by now?

Despite being nervous about having an unproven manager at a time when we needed stability, I always wanted him to succeed and for him plenty of time, but I've completely turned against him.

How dare he say the fans are clueless!?

Going to watch football these days is a commitment of time and money, and we're entitled to our views.

Arguably, we are the most informed fans in history with all the analysis and access to information we have about the game these days.

The man has no respect for himself by the way he presents himself in appearance and in the media and certainly no respect for us.

Whatever the result tomorrow, he needs to go ASAP so that the incumbent manager will get a few extra valuable weeks with the players going into pre-season.

He's on par with Steve Morison, for me.

Hopelessly out of his depth, promoted many levels above his capabilities, and in the middle of a top level divide on should they switch or stick the poor bugger doesn't stand a chance.

The whole appearance thing just makes people sound old-fashioned and snobby.

If he was at the other end of the table it'd be irrelevant. Scott Parker dresses like a 1930's gangster but has relegated teams too.

He's out of his depth. End of.

A championship club run by serious and experienced professionals would never appoint Riza as manager.
