I find bbc , itv, the various I players and free view gives me more than enough
I listen to more music than I do watch tv so with regard to paying for anything it's streaming Spotify etc that gets my cash
even though I rarely watch BBC I'm very glad it is there.
it has a profound effect on the rest of the broadcasting space in the UK, without the BBC setting a certain standard there would be immediately a race to the bottom in terms of content from other UK sources.
there would immediately be a change in tone of news broadcasters.
the UK's viewing consumption would immediately become more saturated with US imports.
as it is I already have to correct my kids from saying "put some gas in the car" etc from the videos they watch online
if you've ever watched much TV in France or Australia you'll see how shite it could get.
