A number of Championship clubs are plotting moves for Cardiff City’s attacking midfielder Rubin Colwill this summer following their relegation to League One. Colwill’s suitors are actively trying to find out Cardiff’s price tag on the player.

Someone who struggled to get into a bottom of the table team? You’d think they wouldn’t have to pay more than a million for him, but it’s a strange one because teams will look at his performance at Villa and in three or four other games and think there’s a potential bargain to be had even if they and up paying a lot more than a million. If there genuinely is a bidding war for him, then I think City could ask for something like £7 million.
