Thread: Who could buy Cardiff City FC from Tan?

Who could buy Cardiff City FC from Tan?

I don't necessarily think there's a lack of a buyer out there, but I'm more interested about where it would come from. Is there any possibility we could get a major buyer like Leeds have in Red Bull? Does anyone know anything about the alleged interest from other parties that cooled due to pricing? Allegedly David Sullivan (West Ham owner) was interested at one point before pricing drove him away.

I've been speaking to my dad, and his main concern is the debt would make us unattractive to buy, and without Tan, we could fold.

What about that bloke from Jersey a few years back? The deal went as far as a night out in Kiwis with Ridsdale. Would he still be up for it? Especially now Kiwis has moved from Wyndham Arcade to a more salubrious site on St Mary St.

Surname Steele? Can't recall his first name - maybe I've got his surname wrong as well

Thought Steve Day confirmed who was buying Tan out about a month ago?

There may be a dozen potentialk buyers out there, but they'll all melt away when thediscover Tan's asking price.

Did you know that players born in the Channel Isles or on the Isle of Man can choose to represent any of the four UK national football teams?

There's many who could buy Cardiff.
However there appears little to none who would buy.

I'm surprised Terry Matthews didn't buy us.

Old Howardian boy Michael Moritz would be the ideal one. (Moritz, not Morris)

Just read a bit about him, his Dad fled Nazi Germany and settled here. He should have Anglicised his surname given that his Mam’s name is Doris

I have twice emailed Michael Moritz and his wife (separately) in the last 2 or 3 months asking him to invest in the City. Looked up email addresses on line, but no response received.

I don’t know Michael although our age is similar. He would be an obvious choice to buy into the club. If anyone on this site knows him personally, maybe he or she could approach Michael Moritz and at least receive a reply wrt his thoughts about investing.
