    Never knew till today that they are also nicknamed the Bluebirds !

    On the topic of nicknames. Has any other club had a manager that has the same name as the clubs nickname as Walsall have today ?

    I think there a few calling themselves in various leagues in British football.

    Haverfordwest are another.

    Not quite what you’re asking, but former Coventry goalkeeper Bill Glazier started his career at Crystal Palace whose old nickname is the Glaziers.

    Didn't he change his name by deed poll though after they won the first 30 games of the season?

    I'd have gone for Dave McVitie, who apparently (google) actually is a manager. (I'm having a slow afternoon )

    I'm sure you're right there. Back in the time when they played Huntley and Palmer as a strike duo, had Gary Baldi pulling the strings in midfield, and Jamie Dodger in goals. Those great days before Lewis Dunk redefined British football!

    Steve Bull, ex- Wolves and England. His last club was as player/coach of Hereford United, nicknamed.... 'The Bulls'.

    A 👏👏👏 for that answer and a 😂😂😂 for getting in a rag mans trumpet. A saying I haven’t heard for yrs.
    In the 80’s I was working in Llanwern Steelworks and ran out of diesel in my company van.
    My fellow tradesman said I needed ****ing with a rag mans trumpet 😂
