One show I've tried to watch a few times but never got past the first few episodes.
Mates used to love it and it's the sort of thing I'd like so I might have to try another time.

I’m rewatching The Sopranos for the first time in a long time.
It was premiered 26 years ago. 26 years before that was 1973!
Just before smartphones and social media but it still seems relevant regardless of zeitgeist since its release.
What a fantastic show it is!

The first series can seem quite dated, although I still love it. From the second series onwards, it's the best boxset ever made in my opinion. I'm on the final episodes now, and I think it's the fourth time I've watched them over. I've never rewatched a boxset before, apart from comedies like Peep Show and The Office. It's top tier.
'Designated Survivor,' on Netflix is excellent. There are three series and 55 episodes (45 mins per episode).

I tried watching it and hung on for as long as possible but I just couldn't take to it.
On the other hand, I thought that 'The Wire' was extraordinary
'The Sopranos' is a real slow burn, and I know a few people who couldn't/wouldn't stick with it. but it rewards those who persist, with some great acting and storylines, charting the slow decline of the Italian Mafia in the US.
Pauli's real-life background is indeed very interesting, but it took me a long time to get over the fact the one of the main characters was played by Bruce Springsteen's guitarist...
I was the exact opposite. I was totally hooked on The Sopranos and burnt through the series. I had heard and read so many good things about The Wire but I only got 3 to 4 episodes in and gave up . I recall at the time I had real difficulty understanding the dialogue and didn’t have a clue what was happening!
I didn’t take to Ozark either, gave up on that after about 5 episodes but was gripped by Breaking Bad
Some series grab you, others don’t eh!
Is there much love for Yellowstone? I had no idea about it, when it came out or what it was about so I started watching a few months ago and ripped through it. I thought it had finised when Netflix ran out of episodes but it turns out there's another season on Paramount+ so I've just started that.
I've not tried the historical based spin offs 1883 or 1923.
