That’s bonkers.
I wonder if the clubs have considered a fan-exchange scheme to reduce the disruption to ‘home’ fans.

Only just read about this and sorry if already posted.
Due to various financial issues and stadium disagreements, Clyde FC have been playing at New Douglas Park, home of Hamilton for a couple of seasons and will do so again next season.
Hamilton were also playing in their own stadium, however they will now be playing 25 minutes away at Clyde's ground in Cumbernauld having fallen out with the stadium owner.
So Hamilton will be playing at Clyde's ground and Clyde will be playing at Hamiltons ground.
Absolutely bizarre.

If they drew each other in the cup, the home team's fans would be allocated the away end in their own stadium.
I think.
I do sometimes wonder if I am alone on here in having seen a game at Stenhousemuir......
(I have also attended games at Dunfermline, Kircaldy (Raith Rovers), Cowdenbeath and Edinburgh (Hibs))
TBG, I do hope you don't keep yourself up a 🌉 ght pondering if you are are only person on this forum to have seen a game at Stenhousmuir?
I can't beat that range of games. Have only ever been to Murrayfield on Scotland, though did go to Ibrox for a match day, but not inside. My dad did play on Dunfermlines ground though.
It is absolutely bizarre.
Further complicated by the fact that prior to 1994 Clyde FC played in southeast Glasgow, by the banks of the Clyde (obviously). They then moved a long distance away to Cumbernauld. Not quite MK Dons style but not a million miles off.
Hamilton Academicals have always played in Hamilton, which is a town to the southeast of Glasgow itself. So Hamilton probably makes more sense to Clyde fans traditionally than their own home -which is now not their home- does (of course in the last thirty years they will have built up support in Cumbernauld anyway).
Hamilton, who have always played in Hamilton apart from when they shared with Albion Rovers and Patrick) will now have to go to a totally alien town to the north east of Glasgow, for home games.
Anyone worried about Cumbernauld Colts? They will still play in Cumbernauld and now share with Hamilton instead of Clyde.
Clear as mud eh
Haven't been to Stenhousemuir but City had a few nice trips up to Scotland some years back. Dunfermline, Raith and Clyde's three sided ground in 99 (also played Falkirk but I missed that to go to a wedding, sadly). Ayr and Berwick in 02 and Hamilton, Kilmarnock and Falkirk's two sided new ground in 05. Dave Jones wasn't happy about going up there but I enjoyed it.
A thing of the past now what with the penchant for warm weather training and the Scottish League Cup beginning in mid July.
Clyde have got an amazing history. Traditionally they were the 3rd biggest club in Glasgow & won the Scottish Cup 3 times. However the slum clearances of the 60s greatly reduced their catchment area in the east end of Glasgow and after falling on hard times, they were evicted from their ground Shawfield by its owners the Scottish Greyhound Association in 1994.
After that they moved to Cumbernauld but their spiritual home remains in Glasgow and there have been a number of attempts to move back there over the years including two years ago when they were refused an application to use a new sports facility in Crownpoint Sports Complex
Yeah having read this story I had a look on Clyde FC and they were a top flight team for most of their existence until the 70s and as you say, won the cup and they finished third in the league too.
Interesting about the slum clearances. Ironically enough I suspect a few Clyde fans found themselves in Cumbernauld, which is a new town I believe.

On the subject of Jock football, this is an interesting story. A team that started out as a works team, now playing in Scotlands top flight.
