Was never in favour of one man (or grouping) owning more than one club.

It is because Nottingham Forest have made a mockery of the rules. The Olympiakos guy is clearly still running the show there.
Good enough for them.
Some sympathy for the fans, but they still won the cup. They will still be in Europe (and with some hope of winning it) which they otherwise wouldn't have been.
I must also say, of all the things in the world I have sympathy for, mega rich folk owning stakes in multiple football clubs is extremely low down the list. If things like this he'll clarify and stamp it out then that's an entirely good thing
Ok, I live in Nottingham, but the only time that I used to go to the City Ground was to watch the Bluebirds beat Forest.
If you go back and look at the analysis, you will see that Marinakis took back control of Forest after they failed to make the Champions League. Eufa's rule book says that March 1st is the date used for decisions about multi-club ownership. Marinakis thought Forest would make the Champions League, so he put his Forest shares into a 'blind' trust. Textor, and Palace, had no idea that Palace would win the FA Cup, so did nothing until after the deadline.
