Thread: Women's Euros

    Re: Women's Euros

I can’t see anything other than a big scoring win for England on Sunday after today’s performance. Just hope the Welsh girls can dig in and not let it effect their confidence too much.

What a moment for Fishlock and the entire team. Shame VAR was involved, looked offside in real time to be fair.

I thought it was off but the still just shown confims onside, delighted for Fishlock, a great end to her career if she calls it a day after the tournament.

Really poor all around there, had two nibbles at her for no reason and then a really bad penalty to let in to boot.

Conceded two goals at the worst possible time now in the first two games.

Another defeat, but great to see Fishlock score.

We are pretty awful to be fair and out of our depth at this tournament .
A learning curve, hopefully this exposure will encourage more girls to take up football..

A chastening experience for the ladies but what an experience. This can only be good for the game in Wales.

As long as they take more from it than it was just nice to be there then it should do good for women's football in Wales. These heavy defeats won't help those watching too much but hopefully the journey there has already done that.

Totally outclassed as expected but we scored the best goal in the game, will only encourage more women in Wales to take the game up seriously, irrespective of the results Wales will get better and be more competitive in the future

👍 Another difficult night but another goal for the fans there to celebrate.

Its a shame that the draw went against them, and that they didn't get to be more competitive in a match, but they should be proud.

The first two games turned on the goals right before half time, I think they could have got a draw against the Dutch or even an outside chance they could have stolen it in the last 20 mins but that goal absolutely knocked the wind out of them. After that they never really defended or pressed the same way.

Was always going to be rough today against a motivated England team who needed the goal difference to be 100% safe. Overall a great achievement and hopefully they can kick on from here.

I fear the defeats were all too heavy for the tournament to be looked at positively in the future. It was an awful draw for us, but I’m disappointed because, apart from the final game against Italy, we were far more competitive in the last Nations League group than we were in the Euros.

A bit like Qatar? Qualifying performances were better than the finals. As soon as the Dutch scored a 2nd, the balloon burst.

Think that Italy result popped the belief the girls had built up at just the wrong time

I had to turn off after 30 minutes. I couldn't take any more. Wales looked like a team that clearly didn't belong there.

That Josie Flishlake is retiring soon too, so imagine that she's the one who can kick the football and not the striker.
