With a stage finishing in Cardiff apparently. I didn't see that coming.

Thanks for that. I don't remember there being talk of bringing it to Britain next year, including a stage in Wales, but I guess I'd stopped listening to anything Boris came out with by the time that was suggested. Shame really, it'd be great to see it here.

Simon Yates on the verge of winning the Giro, his second grand tour title.

Crazy stage today and one of the greatest single rides to win a Grand Tour ever. Adam Yates' interview was great- towing the team narrative but secretly you knew he wanted to say how pleased he was for his brother.
A couple of good stages already, no such thing as a quiet first week when Pogacar's around.
Oscar Onley is doing pretty well so far
Stage win for Simon Yates today, with Ben Healy becoming the first Irish rider in yellow since Stephen Roche in 1987.
Fair play to Healy, got to be one of the best weeks if not the best week for an unheralded rider I can remember. Even if Pogacar had no real reason to want to hang onto yellow, putting that time into him today when he couldn't take it easy due to Vingegaard is an incredible effort.
