During 1 of the 3 tests so far this summer, the bbc live text put a question out for best uncapped player playing county cricket. There were quite a few positive responses for kellaway and by no means were they all from glammy fans.

    Excellent start to the game.

Just switched the radio on for a few seconds and the England women’s team (that country’s worst sporting team?) have just 25 balls in the start of innings power play and 24 of them were dot balls

Okay, so it’s fifteen years since we’ve had any senior players deemed good enough for England at any level. Still think Carlson should have had a lions/Development team tour somewhere along the way.

    Re: GLAMMY

Ingram out off the last ball before lunch to spoil it being a completely dominant morning for Glamorgan - 250-5, Ingram out for 87, Kellaway 85 not out.

    Re: GLAMMY

    274 for 7 now!

    Re: GLAMMY

Little disappointing that we only scored 327 after that morning session, but we’ve got a very handy lead - Kent 14-0 at tea.

Hopefully Van der Gugten's injury isn't serious - doesn't look like he's going to bowl today, and Nick Webb seems unsure if he's going to be fit for next week.

Think Kent are going to be in for a big score here now. Easy to say in hindsight, but think they dropped a big bollock not picking Mason Crane.

Chris Cooke has also gone off, although we've at least got some depth in that department.

Was also surprised crane was not included, assuming fully fit. Looks like kellaway has huge role to play if they are to force a win.

He's been playing for the seconds the last few days, so presumably not injured or rested. Taken 11 wickets as well!

Kent’s leg spinner took four wickets I see. Hope Van Der Gugten’s injury is not down to us over bowling him.

Kent 277-5, anything been said about whether Joe Denley will be able to bat?

    Re: GLAMMY

Glamorgan chasing 189 to win after Kiran Carlson, of all people, takes three quick wickets.

  14. #6889

    Re: GLAMMY

25-2 at the close with both openers out.

    Re: GLAMMY

Jury's still out on ul Hussain as an opener, and hopefully Tribe will learn a lot from those two pretty torrid spells against Agar.

    Still in Glamorgan's hands though.

Kent's behaviour in the field has been ridiculous mind, and I wouldn't be surprised if they lose a point. Don't mind a bit of liveliness in the slips but they're appealing every ball. Absolutely tinpot.

Very mouthy and loud. Surprised someone didn’t remind them of their league position. It will be tough tomorrow unless we take it by the scruff of the neck.

It was an embarrassment to watch the Kent fielders behaving like teenagers. Umpires should have done their job.

Surely they’re all Gentlemen in Kent aren’t they? It’s places like south Wales where you see such underhand behaviour.

    Re: GLAMMY

Today could be a big day for Glammy in the context of the season.

Weather permitting, Derbyshire look likely to lose - they're chasing 446 to win and are 93-4 at start of play. Gloucestershire behind us are unlikely to win as well.

Really need a big innings from Carlson and Root, as we can't keep relying on Ingram and Kellaway. Nick Webb says Cooke and VdG can bat if needed (with runners) so if we get to that point and there's still 50 or so runs needed, I think we're going to be in big trouble.

Huge if we can get home, though.

I’m not very confident they can chase that total down on the 4th day. It should be doable but this is Glamorgan

Glad to be totally wrong - comfortable chase 😄

    Re: GLAMMY

168-4 at lunch, 21 needed. Carlson 74 not out and Ingram unbeaten with 27. Derbyshire on their way to defeat, Gloucestershire struggling to avoid a loss - I think Middlesex and Lancashire could still be the big dangers.

Yes 21 to get at lunch. Barring a dramatic collapse (mind you Kent did in their first innings!) Glamorgan will be in second place in division 2 later on this afternoon, as Derbyshire are heading for defeat unless their last three wickets can make over 250 after lunch.

    Re: GLAMMY

In the end a very comfortable win. After a shocking April the form in the four day stuff has been excellent. We have been here before so many times though and need to nail promotion
