That’s great to know, Wonder if the Ref and linesmen will sleep tonight 😁
C’mon now. Fans are so predictable. It was a penalty, it was brought on by our own mistakes.
Boing the officials is so childish. The half time whistle should have been met with cheering and applause for what in my opinion was a real breath of fresh air for a change. A young team showing grit and confidence.
Kapakio was superb for 75 mins but then tired and showed his inexperience , We need experienced back up. When is NG back ?
Hopefully Chambers will also step up and provide some guile at the back .
I think it's naive to think Peterborough weren't going to have a strong spell at the end whilst looking for an equalizer. We dealt with it though and that's all that matters. Too many times last season, we didn't. I'm confident in saying we're going to win every single game this season. CAPTAIN COLWILL![]()

Some pressure was expected at the end and yes we dealt with it, but we didn't look comfortable at all defensively and if this is going to be the norm from our defence then we will lose games as no matter how well we play offensively.
That said, the most pleasing thing about today was the way our young team turned it around. Lose today and all sorts of doubts start creeping in from all directions.
It was a satisfactory days work.
Really enjoyed that after the last few years of rubbish. Played some good stuff and despite the referee looked the much better side. Thought Colwill brothers Kpakio and my man of the match Wintle were excellent.
The number 9 for the posh looked really good for them though right handful.
This is like some kind of groundhog day. Colwill senior is capable of some fantastic bits of play and the goal was a peach. Similarly he overplays and decision making is risky at times for someone with that talent at his feet. He was good today and the captaincy could help.
Perhaps a season or more in League 1 against poorer organised defences and some better coaching will help others see the player you do!
When you go through the game, Salech’s first half header, either side of the keeper,it’s in, Robinson’s second half miss, Tanner drew a brilliant save from their keeper, I was looking at it from behind Tanner, it was class, when was the last time we created as many clear cut chances in a game?. As for the ref, almost any bit of physicality from city was penalised and if we’d been given a penalty like that I would be thinking, how lucky was that. Easy to be critical of bits and pieces today but really enjoyed that one, also Wintle did so much dirty work and I hold my hand up, I never thought I would be as appreciative of him as I was today.
Kpakiao by far our best player. Can’t see us holding onto him for long. The kid is destined for the PL. So composed.
Massive win, to draw that game would have been a travesty. Get the winning feeling back and hopefully go into the Port Vale game and get another win. They’re not having a good day
Soft pen but it was a free kick before that and the way he was reffing it was very possibly a 2nd yellow for Lawlor.
After a decent start I thought Lawlor and Fish were poor. Their number 9 started to bully both of them.
Kpakio. Wintle. J Colwill. The pick of the bunch for me.
I dont think the ref was sure if it was a pen. He took his time and then gave it. Im glad he did. If he gave the free kick im certain Lawlor was gone.
Enjoyed that today. A few mistakes but overall a decent performance and thoroughly deserved the win. Good to see everyone working hard - we gave them no time on the ball when they had it. Some good attacking play and two cracking goals.
I enjoyed the game, and it was good to see the side trying to get forward. Disappointed we conceded, though, and also that we made such hard work of a very poor Peterborough. There are much stronger sides than that out there, and we’ll have to play a lot better over the coming months. That said, it’s a good start, and clearly, we have a lot of promising young players on our hands.
