A so called friend got me a ticket for tomorrow. Not best pleased.
Who on the board is part of the 4th consortium then?
It'll depend on results. City winning will see people in the ground especially after Christmas if there's a sniff of success.
If City struggle crowds could be similar to midweek games from the last few seasons.
I'll add City have managed to maintain a larger amount of regular supporters than in the last 10 years than in previous decades.
I do wonder if a few seasons in League One would reduce that mind.
City's support for me has always been fickle.
That will be this thread’s creator, Canton Kev.
I have already done a bit of digging on this and the Canton, in Canton Kev actually refers to the Guangdong Province in Southern China.
The financial backing behind the fourth consortium is with the Alibaba group, in particular the CEO Joseph Tsai, a Taiwanese-Canadian billionaire that apparently owns the Brooklyn Nets basketball team. Worth about eleven billion US dollars, so I’d say he was absolutely caked.
The Alibaba group also owns Guangzhou Football Club in Guangdong Province (Canton) and there’s likely to be a partnership type arrangement with them, I.e. loaning of players/increasing exposure in China etc. I know for a FACT that Cardiff have already been invited to play in next year’s Guangdon-Hong Kong cup - as part of our pre-season programme - where Guangzhou FC will also play.
All they’re waiting for is the sign-off from Tan, then they will immediately sack Darren Purse!

We had the highest attendance in the division yesterday. 11 more than Bradford.
