    FT: Stockport 2 Bolton 0

Not a bad game, especially in the first half. To me, both sides looked considerably stronger than Peterborough and much better on the ball than both Luton and Wimbledon, although I only saw about 20 minutes of their dreadful contest on Friday night.

I’d like to see Stockport go up this season. (Not at our expense though 😂)
They’ve almost achieved the same success as Wrexham, but on a much smaller budget.
Good fanbase as well considering they are surrounded by much bigger teams.

Stockport have been bank rolled all the way to League One by their owner in a very similar way to Wrexham. Just without the publicity.

They made a 7m loss last season that their owner covered by putting in 11m. Total losses of 21m over the last few years - they're not a fairytale and have one of the biggest budgets in the league.

Just so many clubs around that area too, can’t see them ever going that far with so much competition

    Crewe?

    Macclesfield?

Loads of clubs around north Manchester and Lancashire.

Not so many in south Manchester and Cheshire.

Population of Stockport is 300k which is the same as swansea more or less.

Obviously the 2 Manchester clubs are an attraction worldwide but apart from can't see anyone from Stockport opting for anyone else.
