Well, I would say that what Si and Tony Rivers have been saying is quite a bit different from what Steve Day and he who we cannot name on here have been claiming.

In the particular podcast you highlighted and championed, Si made the following claims:

1) His ‘exquisite’ source was a part of what he described as ‘the early meetings’.

2) The South African consortium consists of Gary Otto and two other people.

3) This alleged consortium first approached the club on Christmas Eve last year and has been in discussions ever since.

4) They were in the UK in mid-July for meetings at the club.

5) The South Africans have had access to the club’s books, they were granted exclusivity and underwent a due diligence process.

6) It's the closest Vincent Tan has ever been to selling the club (he stated that was a fact).

7) The alleged takeover was moving along ‘nicely’ and was ‘very far down the line’.

8) Steve Borley was significantly instrumental in the process - he was described as being ‘excellent’ in his dealings with ‘all parties’.

9) He knows the prospective new owners like Brian Barry-Murphy, and our new manager was aware that a takeover was on the cards when he took the job.

Interestingly, Si also claimed he was the first to publicly mention Gary Otto, having done so accidentally on his ‘members only’ show (whatever that may be), and he suggested the alleged South African consortium may have been involved in the process to appoint BBM.

Given what was stated at the meeting between club officials and supporters on Saturday, how much of the above do you now believe?
