The Birmingham city documentary on Amazon

Don't know if anybody has seen it. Rooney has the charisma of a gnat.
Felt it was more about Tom Brady at times... Not as good as the Burnley and Wrexham documentaries

Brady is very arrogant but then I don’t suppose you become one of the greatest sportsmen / athletes in a the history of American sports without having self belief and arrogance. Hard to warm to him.

The manager Chris Davies is playing up to cameras a bit and very Brent-esque

100% about Brady, I cannot warm to him at all - as you say, to be that good at anything, you need that arrogant streak. He almost comes across as a psychopath, but I remember reading a book that basically said all 'greats' had psychopathic tendencies.

Him & Wagner are a right pair, it's a good watch but has none of the warmth of the Wrexham or Sunderland (IIRC was some time ago) docs

I’m quite enjoying this. Definitely less warm than the Wrexham one, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

Agree Brady is not likeable at all, everything’s ****ing this and ****ing that. Always messaging the manager Davies. Wondering if the manager really means some of the nice things he’s saying about him, or if he really wishes Brady wasn’t so hands on.

Just finished the episode about Jay Stansfield’s late father and the game at Exeter where he scores. Exeter have the Adam Standfield stand, makes me wonder why Whitts haven’t had a stand. It would be fitting.

It's good to see how the season went and gives an insight into the league and how hard it can get at times, although, bar a short spell, Birmingham ran away with it in the end. I haven't finished it yet, but agree with the above, Brady is a big head and Davies thinks he's great too. The Stansfield episode was pretty good and well covered, he's the big in that team from the rest of the league.

62,000 seater stadium with retractable roof. Brady's 'spending' Ł3billion, not counting what the Council is chucking in. I understand the old adage "build it and they'll come", but this has all the hallmarks of a West Ham United part 2.
