    Daland

Any ideas what's happening with him?
Came on in the first game and helped solidify the defence. Not been in the squad since.

He looked too good in that appearance so is being shipped out.

BBM has presumably seen him play more than once. Just to sum up my thoughts on Daland, he made Will Fish look half decent last season

    Daland?

When did BBM say that? No surprise if true.

Edit: Forget that, I've just seen the story pop up on BBC.

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football...s/cp8zjjdx6zko

Jesper Daland looks set to leave Cardiff City after head coach Brian Barry-Murphy revealed the centre-back has held talks with other clubs.

The Bluebirds paid around Ł3.5m to sign the Norwegian from Cercle Brugge last year.

But following Cardiff's relegation to League One, Daland has only made one substitute appearance.

The 25-year-old was left out of the squad for Tuesday's EFL Cup win over Swindon Town because of his transfer discussions with other clubs.

Barry-Murphy did not know whether Daland will be leaving on a permanent or loan basis, but said: "Jesper's in conversations with other clubs, so he's not available."

Asked if a deal was close to being completed, he said: "I don't know. I don't know how close."

Cardiff have only signed one player this summer, goalkeeper Nathan Trott on loan from Copenhagen, while 11 have left since their relegation from the Championship.

$3.5m, Jesus Christ. Deboys should be sued by the club and forced to put a retraction in WalesOnline for that famous article.

I'd still rather him than Chambers at CB mind.

    Re: Daland

Daland is the least worst centre half at the club. If we are left with just Fish and Calamity Chambers with Lawlor as back up we are cooked
There is more spine in a cowardly squid

Wonder how much of a profit we will make on that 3.5million?

The figure quoted wasn't in dollars - unfortunately.

Deboys was on the panel that chose the manager. His signings not only relegated us but managed to make himself more influential. I think this perfectly encapsulates what a mess we are under Tan

I like BBM but the way we chose our manager is beyond ridicule. Deboys and our academy manager. In effect both picking their new boss.

Don't forget Wasserman, wonder who BBM's agents are...

Why hasn't Ricky Gervais written a sitcom about this yet?

Had quite a good game against Swansea, done nothing since, obviously, the Manager knows what he wants and will replace him shortly.

It looks like Horvath and Alnwick are out, too, so that's quite a rebuild.

    Re: Daland

None of our defenders are good enough to play in m a team desiring promotion so anything we can get for any of them isn’t a bad thing, assuming we actually replace them.
