Looked nasty from where I was stood in the away end. Was a bit silly of him to fly into the ball at that pace given how little space he had, can't fault the dedication though.

I'll be surprised if that's not a broken ankle the speed he slid in. Hopefully I'm wrong.

A break would be better than ligament damage

More info here. Hope for the best for Tanner, and to his credit, Willock looked serviceable today from what I saw of him.

He did it before he hit the hoardings. As soon as he slid in his foot dug in and he turned his ankle, it wasn’t the impact.

Yeah really hope it's not too serious.

I'm sure Willock is a lovely bloke and has been brilliant (at previous clubs) but I'd rather play Hovarth on the wing.

Willock has certainly underwhelmed - and was way below his previous best when he left QPR. But he has skill and is quicker (when he wants to) than I thought. If he can buy in to the BBM way of playing and shake off the lethargy, he could and should be an asset.

Johnnie Jackson name checked Willock in his post match interview - talking about his quality (the strength of our bench), accuracy of passing, and close control that meant the Wimbledon players couldn't dispossess him.

I agree he's clearly a hugely skilled and talented player but he's been an absolute momentum killer for us in attacks. Don't know if it's confidence or just his style doesn't suit us

    Just about to say that.

The ankle can recover quite quickly and rarely causes problems later on and doesnt hurt as much, just feels like its had a bad wack.

Ligament damage can be very nasty, excruciatingly painful and can take a long time to heal. Its the psychological impact as well, I.e. people who've had ligament damaged may not put the same effort in as before in case it goes again.

I suppose a glimmer of hope is that it was dealt with quickly and was on the sideline with a boot on applauding the team off.
