Social media linking us with a loan move for Oxford winger Owen Dale. Not the best of sources mind.
Really not happy at all with what I've seen of Dale's stats.
Matondo hopefully is a possibility.
I know expectations should be toned down a bit now were in the third tier, but Owen Dale does not fulfill the quality over quantity mantra for me - I hope Glen Williams is right.
Plymouth have made their 13th signing today - Lorent Tolaj from Port Vale!
Luton have only signed 8 new players - so not much different from us!
I’ve cancelled Willocks Uber until January.
I’m assuming we’re going to be banging the premier leagues doors for loans but are there any links?
I was thinking with BBM's links to man city and the Chelsea manager maybe they have some youngsters for us but I'm not sure how often they loan to league 1 and again it's furthering our inexperience.
I suspect we will bring in a couple of loans but it seems clear that's all the club is interested in doing
Some of the youngsters who would have gone out on loan in previous years are being sold to cover PSR, Chelsea selling two to Germany today for 30 million odd quid.
Obviously those types players never going to come to League 1, but there is presumably a knock on effect that the types of players who would go further down the league are either going a bit higher or are being kept to make up the numbers in the academy leagues.
Not a rumour, just a suggestion, how about Luke Mbete? Given BBM's desire for 'versatility' and our need for depth at Centre Back & Left Back Mbete would fit the bill. Manchester City youngster who's time at Man City matches BBM's. Pep has gone public about Man City's desire to move him on.
His career has stalled over recent seasons, mainly because of injuries. This would be the drawback.

The club have bene very good at stopping leaks regarding potential new signings, either this or we are not signing anyone. But Mbete and Matondo would do me.
I'd be happy with two more coming in, even if they're loans. The roster does look a little thin, maybe we're saving until January or something, and BBM needs a bit more time assessing where we need reinforcements? Or more likely, the board isn't fully backing him financially, but I think these results deserve backing.
Belgian Pro League giants Anderlecht have rekindled their interest in Cardiff City youngster Tanatswa Nyakuhwa in the final days of the summer transfer window.
That is according to a fresh update from Lyall Thomas and Mark McAdam of Sky Sports on the publication's Transfer Centre Live Blog (14:35 / 25/08), with the 19-year-old forward the subject of a potential loan offer from the side now managed by Besnik Hasi, although the Bluebirds have reiterated their stance that the homegrown prospect is not for sale.

There were reports of Anderlecht interest in Nyakuhwa in the January window too - so some history!
