    Keir Starmer. Force of personality??

According to one Labour MP who was criticizing the defence of Mandelson

' At the moment, it is only Keir Starmer’s force of personality that is keeping this government together.'

    They really are b******d then!!!

I see this force of nature ducked out of this afternoon's debate on Mandelson.

No doubt the excuse will be he is preparing for Trump's state visit.

Lets be honest, like anyone he has personal strengths and weaknesses. You don't get to be PM without leadership skills.

I can also well believe he does quite well in terms of "emotional intelligence" and probably engages mostly well with MPs on a personal level

I sure he possessed certain skillszo have become not DPP and PM.

But that does not necessarily equate to a forceful personality.

His schievementssibce coming to power remind me of the (alleged comment by Churchill about Attlee.

'A modest man, with much to be modest about'

In Attlee's case, probably an unfair comment given the achievements of the Labour Govt under his leadership.

Starner has yet to prove that the phrase does not fit him.

Sorry I was interrupted and did not have time to edit!

    I meant of course

    'Certain skills to'

    and

'His achievements since coming to power'

And not what I actually said!!

Ah an old agony aunt for the Daily Mirror! I do vaguely recognise her name I guess.

I'm more of a mystic meg kinda guy though.

Seriously though, you don't get to be leader and PM with no leadership or political skills. He perhaps doesn't have an outgoing personality like some, but I can well believe he is umm robustly pursuasive when needed.
