Incredible, isn't it? There have always been loads of Union Jacks hanging from lampposts and bridges all over the UK. What's happening now has been happening for decades. It's a completely normal situation.

It may seem a bit daft some folk getting a bit patriotic and arsey and starting to hang their own flags and colours up, but it wasn’t that long ago that the likes of you, me and hundreds of other City fans spat our dummies out and stopped going to support the team we love, because the new owner who kept us out of the courts and invested some of his own money in had the audacity to change our colours from blue to red.

Why are you saying that minorities aren't represented by the Union Flag, the English flag, the Welsh flag etc? They are.

That's my issue. Your argument that it doesn't represent them has far deeper and longer term consequences. Its a far more divisive stance than someone putting up a flag.

The argument to push, in my opinion, is that the flag *does* represent everyone.

Go ask everyone at Tommy Robinson's latest march if that's how they feel. Before they all scuttle off to their individual places to continue to spew bile, incite hatred and intimidate minorities.

You may find they are being displayed, like all flags, for a variety of different reasons and interpreted by different people for a variety of different reasons.

It's up to them. I won't insult people for it. I find it an interesting phenomena and predictable too.

The flag in question was a Hezbollah flag. A terrorist group. Literally illegal. Hardly comparable to someone displaying their own national flag.

Why are you so insulting and ignorant to it? Me personally, i wouldn’t fly a flag in my garden or put one on a lamppost in my St, but if one of my neighbours flew a Welsh flag, it wouldn’t bother me in the least.
If a number of flags started to appear, without a sporting event taking place, I’d be interested to find out why they were put up? A wild guess would be more and more people think they are being ignored by their own governments, and they see themselves and their problems being ignored, whilst the very same governments pander to every foreign cause, whilst failing to address poverty, lack of housing, rising cost of living, major cuts in public services etc etc in the country they represent.
I’d say letting in 1000’s of illegal migrants is culminating in frustration.
Myself, being born in Wales/Britain, I’ve always thought most regions in the UK to be very welcoming to migrants coming here legally to work and better their lives, and very sympathetic to refugees seeking shelter from war torn regions.
Me personally I’m not keen on gangs of East Europeans arriving here to beg outside supermarkets and participate in crime, or other illegal immigrants arriving here with no intension of contributing to the system.
Does that make me racist ?
We have always had our share of extreme right wing nutters but they are usually swamped by the good folk of the UK and told to f*ck off.
So are we becoming an island of racists, or are more and more people just getting more and more frustrated?

He was never attending another City game again whilst Tan was at the helm. Every chance he got the self important dwarf was outside the CCS in front of TV camera (standing on a foot stool) telling us as much, That was until he had the chance to cozy up to a so-called friends widow and he started attending games again.
