Yea nice bar area with screens and then a quite cool looking outdoor area with more screens, will be popular during the summer.

I think he's just an expert at copying and pasting press releases without crediting the source.

Can anyone be more specific as to it's location?
'heart of the city' doesn't provide much of a clue.

Covid ended more than three years ago, you don’t have to book to go to the pub, you just turn up.

    You'd like a clue?

I think you're getting confused between LUDO and CLUEDO!

It's where the old Alchemist is, it's crowded, expensive, overly loud, obnoxious (IMO)

Clearly you've never tried to get into to a sports bar for a popular game

Of course, many times, and I’ve never been turned away as I’ve not booked. Frankly if I was I would never go there again. I find the whole concept of booking to go for a pint ridiculous.

    Cheapest Real Ale £5.25.

Lagers seem to start at £5.90 with most £6 plus.

You can order scanning with your phone which is great if you have a group of old farts counting out the correct change and paying by cash at the bar while working out what to drink as there's no Brains Dark.

While the cashless brigade keep tapping regardless, end the night assuming they’ve spent about £60, then wake up next morning horrified they’ve spent £120. Us sensible cash users live to fight another day, having only spent what they had in our wallet that night, and go out for another sesh, while the cashless wonders spend the day on the settee, head in hands with a ‘how the hell did I spend that much?’

And by taking a moderate amount of cash to spend, you save your Liver that little bit more, it's a win , win situation....

Trust you to come up with a sensible medical reason to use cash instead of falling for the senseless card or phone tapping, bloody plasterers!!!!!!
Another thing though, remember when card use first reared its ugly head, people were warned to guard their card with their life, don’t let prying eyes catch a glimpse, treat folk too close to you as a security threat etc etc. Now punters are tapping their particulars into random faceless machines on bar counters without a care in the world. Are these machines infallible? Machines that are gathering your financial information.
Another thing, part 2 Say you go out with £100 in your wallet, lose it half way through the night, you might be £50/£60 down. Lose your wallet with cards in (contactless has a field day) or your phone with your financial information installed, the nightmare begins, the initial panic, the cancelling of cards etc, it’d be like your right arm was cut off.
I’ll stick to cash, simpler, safer & financially more sensible I reckon.

    Regarding your part 2:

If YOU went out with £100 in your wallet, and lost it half way through the night, wouldn't you be about £95 down?
I heard you got arrested the other night - you were caught breaking into a £10 note!

Is it true what they say... Splott boys are so tight, they squeak when they walk?

    .... Just kidding

Step 1: You will need some friends. If you don't have any maybe you can rent some?
