Thread: Beating Wrexham adds value to CCFC but how much?

Beating Wrexham adds value to CCFC but how much?

An excellent performance and deserved result on National TV.
The stock of individual players will have risen.
    Also that of BBM.
    And that of CCFC.
I think it fair to presume that there are more admirers and more interested in acquiring a player, BBM or the club.
The downside being the potential unsettling negative impacts.

It's one game. Don't overthink it.

We lost to Newport a couple of weeks ago so hyperbole either way is rather silly.

How much does beating Wrexham add to the value of the club? Is this a serious question?

Maybe we should show them the second half of the Bolton game

It adds the income from the game against Chelsea probably 5k+ more in the crowd plus the TV income, a few bob more than the Cheltenham game.

I would say 10,000 more .. I've been asked in work already several times about tickets

I think they'll have to open the red stand...
Or maybe not if we lose to the Posh.

Should we win tomorrow and get a home draw for the FA Cup, the club should offer a package of both cup games. I can't imagine a home draw against anyone in the 2nd round is going to get a big crowd in December, would be a good way of selling tickets even if people don't go and are only buying to secure a Chelsea ticket.

    Of course it is.
The question was about beating Wrexham with a good team performance and some very good individual performances on TV.
At the end of last season our ‘stock’ plummeted as did our stock value.
Players that might have been considered worth very little are now worth more.
The club has shown that it is still alive and kicking and will have reminded people about its potential.
Not everything is perfect but it is a damn sight better than a few months ago and yes our stock will be higher than if we had been soundly beaten at Wrexham.

Agreed both HTV and Sky sports were very complimentary about the job BBM has done and the players, I was thinking the same.

Lot's of clubs will be doing some scouting reseach on our young players and some owneres will be keeing an eye on BBM's progress with an acadamy squad, and very little money spent.

I think you are mistaking CCFC with a club that shows good marketing sense
