    Long Sleeved Football Shirts

Watching the match today I noticed no one is wearing any. They seem to have been replaced with long sleeve undergarments in the team's colours. I wonder if they are still made these days or are all football shirts short sleeved?

I remember way back when every game Liverpool wore short sleaves in the first half and long in the seocnd.
Most all of my time playing we wore long sleaves (60s to mid 80s)

When Tony Adams was captain of Arsenal, I think whatever shirt he chose to wear, whether it be long or short sleeved, the rest of the team would have to wear the same.

It wasn’t just Tony Adams, until pretty recently, whoever was captain would decide whether they wore long or short sleeved shirts.

Contrary to what was said in the OP, I’d say long sleeved shirts are making a bit of a comeback. They disappeared from the game for a few seasons, but you see quite a few players wearing them in the Premier League especially these days.

Long sleeved adidas shirts are fantastic. It's just a shame that the EPL logo breaks the stripes.
