I can't remember our cup runs in 2000 and 2001, when we would have started in the 1st round.

2002 was obviously Leeds at NP so that was Rd 3 for sure. And I think we had Coventry in Rd 3 in 2003.

In 2000 we smashed Bristol Rovers 5-0 or 5-1 in the first round, Earnie scored a hat trick. Can’t remember the other games that year but I’m sure we got to the third round.

1996/7 ? Lost at home to Gillingham 2nd Round.

In 2000 we smashed Bristol Rovers 5-0 or 5-1 in the first round, Earnie scored a hat trick. Can’t remember the other games that year but I’m sure we got to the third round.

We played Cheltenham twice in a week at Ninian Park and won them both 3-1. The first of them was in the Second Round of the Cup after beating Rovers and the second was in League 2 - Cheltenham had a player sent off in both matches.

We played Crewe in the Third Round, 1-1 here with Jason Bowen’s own goal and we lost w-1 in the replay.

We didn’t play in the Third Round in 2000. After beating Orient and Bury after replays, we went out at Bolton in Round 3 - it was the season when it was played in December. You’re right about us playing Coventry in 2003.

I’ve got a strong feeling this was the game I was referring to a few days ago. Pretty sure there was a demonstration of some sort in the Grandstand following the final whistle in relation to Kumar’s running of the club, and he and the board were chased into the boardroom. Something like that anyway.
