Labour will always control Wales, grandfather Dai voted for them, My dad voted for them, so guess what, I'll vote for them ( which is exactly what I ( and most others ) do in Wales ( apart from voting for PC ) its all a little predictable

Also gives the people a reason to blame " Westminster " for all the woes they have

Well you said that Wales isnt a ‘sovereign nation’. That isn't a terminology that’s normally used, ‘sovereign state’ is correct. Wales is a nation and a country but not a sovereign state.

If Wales had independence it would be the biggest political disaster ever, they can't manage the little bits of power they have, the NHS is 10 times worse than England, the Roads are a 10mph mess, the airports a car park with no planes, the economy is fecked, they want to tax the few tourists we have more, he hasn't got a clue!
Firstly I don't support Welsh independence

Secondly do YOU think that labour will tax working people more and increase the number on benefits ?

Thirdly do you think most people in Ely are on benefits ?

I don't think you are correct at all

What do you think that the people living in London and the South East of England who struggle financially think about Rodger, his father Rupert and Grandfather Charles who vote for anyone in a Conservative rosette ? and have kept things that way for several hundred years ?

It's all a bit predictable eh

It is, but that still doesnt take away from the statement I made, ( as GLC once said ) you knows its true

You moan about south Wales ‘plastics’ supporting the big English teams yet you support the big English government and parliament instead of getting behind your local, Welsh government and parliament.

                    Why?

I voted for the Welsh assembly

I don't think it's doing a very good job but it's better than being totally run from London

I would like proportional representation brought into Westminster but as things stand I think we in South Wales have more in common with Bristol than we do with Brecon or Aberystwyth

The Welsh assembly was brought in by a Labour Government . Without it the independents have a far bigger platform than before . However it seems Wales is not interested in independence and I agree with those voters who reject it .

It is neither a nation nor a country. If I followed your logic I could call Dorset or Devon a country. Have some decorum please.

It's nothing to do with nationalism; it's all about Socialism v Capitalism. There's plenty of rich capitalists in Wales just like anywhere else: I have nothing in common with them. Wales also voted for Brexit, that's another reason to distance myself.

Your grandfather Dai and your father (what's his name?) sound like eminently sensible people.

Thinly veiled. ‘Every bugger in Ely is a benefit dependent scrounger, up to no good’...........Not so thinly veiled, ‘I’m a ‘I’m a better than you true blue Tory bigot’.
