To reduce it down…the UN or whoever has the clout to offer a sizable part of a country with plenty of land could be paid or have their debts cleared to allow Israelis (and other Jews) to rebuild.

Another does the same for Palestinians.
(It seems like a better deal than their Middle Eastern Brethren would do).

A 12 month period with financial assistance to go for everyone.

Then it becomes unlivable, if they don’t won’t to move…tough, it should be bombed regularly and people moved out when they have enough.

A stupid analogy as I’m sure you will agree..

And yes, I do care more about the wildlife than the human consequence.

I have a bird box on my deck and about a month ago I started watching a pair of small thrushes build a nest.
They hatched chicks and I watched the parents fly in and out to feed their babies.
One morning when all was seemingly good, the nest hole was covered up by scales.

A snake got in there and killed those birds and it broke my heart.
We got someone in to get and release the snake who was resting in the bird box trying to digest those birds.

We let him go into the wilderness as snakes are gonna snake…I still hate that ****er.

After reading you posts with a small break over the years, it’s quite clear to me that I care more about that snakes welfare than I ever will for yours.

    I think you’re a snide c***.
Do yourself a favour and ignore my posts.
Oh yeah you had an unprovoked little rant a while ago about how much you hate me didn't you, I knew it was one of the American based posters but forgot who. Seems a bit overboard to be honest but having read the rest of your post I take it as a badge of honour that someone who thinks like you dislikes me so much.

Thanks for the fable of the snake and the bird box, please never run for office or try and get a book deal.

          It certainly wasnÂ’t a fable.
IÂ’ve footage of before and after if you want.

I do genuinely feel bad though for that comparison. Over the years IÂ’ve posted some horrible stuff aimed at those that have irked me enough to do so.

You, Delm have boiled my piss for years.
Totally unintentional IÂ’m sure, maybe a nodding smiley just triggers me, like the reincarnation of Croesy used to do.

There is way too much anger and nastiness in this world, there always has been and IÂ’m guilty of it too.
IÂ’m sorry for the comparison and IÂ’d like to let bygones be bygones.

At some point soon IÂ’d like to get back to when we could agree to disagree.

Best of luck to you and no hard feelings from me.

A response, of sorts, from the BBC

A BBC chief has responded to a landmark report which exposed the broadcaster’s double standards in reporting on Gaza.

As recommended, I read pages 8 to 16 of the report and it was completely damning. I defend the BBC on several of the criticisms it receives, but it seems like an open and shut case when it comes to allegations concerning the balance of their reporting concerning Israel and the Palestinians.

Netanyahu blocking all aid to Gaza again - from the earlier trickle - to appease Smotrich and the other fascists in his government.

Starvation as a means of keeping his coalition together and avoiding the court cases that are backed up (the ones Trump demands should be dropped!)

I think it was easier for me to hope that you'd made the snake thing up because quite frankly I'm shit scared of them and that story sends something through me :puke:

That aside, fair play to you for this and yes of course I'd much rather let bygones be bygones rather than have a continuous mean spirited back and forth

Thank You Delme, I appreciate it!

It was an Eastern Rat Snake, totally harmless to humans but IÂ’m not a fan either.
We had two on our deck, the one must have been close to 6ft.
The deck is about 9ft off the ground and the bird box was suspended a further 6ft up from that, so roughly 15ft off the ground and it still managed to get to it.

Apparently they can smell a bird nest from a mile away.

That week, we also had a bear roaming about in our street, knocking over peopleÂ’s bins and a box turtle on the bottom deck. :)

Utterly sickening. Fair play those IDF soldiers calling this out though.

Yaakov Garb’s report for Harvard Dataverse has analysed the Israeli military’s own data and combined these with careful spatial mapping to reveal a demographic horror story:

Close to 400,000 people – at least 377,000 – have disappeared from Gaza’s pre-genocide population of 2.227 million, reducing it to 1.85 million when measured for the study.

Israel has murdered almost one in five of the people of Gaza.

This includes more than 150,000 children, based on the fact that half of the people of Gaza are children.

Channel 4 to show the documentary 'Gaza: Doctors Under Attack' that was commissioned by the BBC but dropped by them because they were concerned it might show the wrong sort of partiality (as if)!

Channel 4's decision makers not as cowardly, or as influenced by lobbyists, as the BBC. Which is good!

Witnesses describe grim aftermath of Israeli strike on busy Gaza cafe.

Women, children and elderly people among at least 24 killed by attack that turned beach spot into scene of carnage.

This is a rapid run through a number of examples of Israel committing terrible war crimes against the Palestinian people. Starting with the shooting of Palestinians while approaching or queuing up for food in Gaza but mainly focusing on the West Bank touching on the ethnic cleansing of Masafer Yatta, the settler attacks that lead to arrests of Palestinians and the evictions of tens of thousands from refugee camps in Jenin and Tulkarm as well as the fears of many in Balata, the largest refugee camp in the West Bank.

The injustice is intolerable and yet the people of Palestine have little choice but to tolerate it; and our governments also tolerate it, rarely doing more than “condemn” these actions and often not even that.

We currently have a hysterical news cycle as well as pronouncements in Parliament and from the Chief Rabbi over some words uttered at a music festival that the Chief Rabbi had the gall to call “Jew hate”. Many people across the world are asking why Israel’s war crimes, some outlined below, seem to provoke far less reaction from those with the power to act than words and symbols. The double standards are in plain sight and the false allegations of antisemitism are having less and less impact on more and more people.
