America hasn’t had a functioning president for months and months , it’s barely noticeable and doesn’t really matter because there is a permanent unelected machine running in the background apparently.

Why us Brits are so concerned is a mystery.

In the course of my work I meet hundreds of people each year, and I can assure you that most people are anxious about the future; they may not say as much, but they are, and 9/11 caused a massive shift in attitude of almost everyone about what the future could hold. In the people I see regularly, the contrast in their outlook before and after that day was (and still is) so noticeable.

You’re making a big assumption there ….. I offered a face to face chat , as this often seems to discourage childish behaviour.

I’d meet anyone who gets a bit to big for their boots a face to face conversation, as the outcomes are usually positive.

They (the USA) are a major player, but so are China, Russia, Israel & Ukraine with (for example) N Korea, UK, Iran, Syria along with numerous terrorist groups all looking to play their part in an end game.
Only in 2016, many people thought all hope had vanished just because of brexit.

Where would you like to start? How about the start of "genesis" (from NIV)? I quote (I believe the numbers are "days"):

"1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.

a. So, if "god" created the heavens and the earth, presumably that included our star and the other stars? So why did he need to create light?

b. And if he did create light later, why didn't he do that first so that he wasn't working in the dark?

c. If the earth was "formless and empty", how was there a "surface of the deep" which means a sea?

No need to respond - it's clearly a made-for-idiots fairy story.
