Well they are gone, so it's irrelevant, Labour will tax more it's what they do, I won't let them whack most into the pension before they close the doors, people should be spotting the dangers and planning ahead.Originally posted by the other bob wilson View Post

Had a quick read and the take home message - both parties will have to increase taxes.Originally posted by the other bob wilson View PostThe Spectator says different it seems.
The bigger your spending plans - the bigger the need to tax / borrow. Looking at the borrowing we have already had to do through Covid and subsequent slump - we are just heaping more debt on to the existing debt.
I did like the Spectator comment from the author of that article when they said "PS I’ve had a couple of calls on how we did the maths, which I’m afraid was fag-packet stuff. "
Back to work now.

Sadly for you Tories the take home message is sunak and his mob have been found outOriginally posted by pipster View PostHad a quick read and the take home message - both parties will have to increase taxes.

The point of sunak bringing up taxation was , as you know , to try and paint the Tories as the good boys and Labour as the party of high taxation
He's not only lied using figures he and his team were told not to use , he's led to fellow Tories turning on him like Mr Nelson in his conservative supporting magazine
It's an absolute car crash and you can try and say well all parties will have to raise taxes is trying to dodge the lies
Which shows up your bias
Thankfully you ain't kidding anyone

Yes but Face for you to talk about lying and then saying the mortgage rise was down to Liz Truss. That's not true is it. They are rising everywhere. They were at historic lows. The budget absolutely didn't help, but anyone saying she caused the rise in mortgages from circa 2002 to circa 2003..well that's a lieOriginally posted by Dave Blue View PostThe £2000 (over 4 years) was a lie. My increased mortgage thanks to Liz Truss is equivalent to 4x this on its own without energy and other bills/costs rising.

No, it is a lie. Just like "crashing the economy" is a hyperbolic lie etc.Originally posted by SLUDGE FACTORY View PostYou are absolutely desperate now
You clearly don't follow the news from any country outside of the UK? Didn't have you down as a little Englander Sludge.
The idea mortgage rates weren't rising or wouldn't rise without Liz Truss's budget is a lie.
You know it is as well.
