  • The Sun has a nerve

It has spent 15 years laying into Labour at every opportunity, yet now wants people to vote for them though they couldn't bear to print that on the front cover, showing a photo of Gareth Southgate instead.

Obviously trying to say they backed the winner again and it's all about popularity. Let's see if they spend the next few years laying into the opposition. Total shithousery from an awful rag.

If it was up to me I'd ban newspapers being politically linked to any of the parties.

It might have something to do with Starmer writing a column for them!

They've always been a tory rag, always will be; same as Mirror always backing Labour (though I haven't read (or seen) it in years.
Just temporarily backing the obvious winner.

          Sun
          Mail
          Express
          Telegraph
          Times
          London Evening Standard

All tory newspapers , express and mail particularly so

Mirror is labour but I can't read that rubbish
Guardian is very critical of Labour at times and backed liberal Democrats v Cameron in 2010

It's nonsense to suggest the Guardian is left wing

It's anti tory , which is great but it's a liberal minded newspaper , not left wing

The problem for the Guardian is its a middle-class liberal/green paper that was critical of Corbyn as its not "left" wing, as Starmer isn't. Polly Toynbee will be wetting herself tonight whilst Owen Jones would have secretly preferred a Richi win so he could slag off Starmer

The Sun was a socialist paper when it, sort of, morphed from the Daily Herald in 1964. My Uncle Georgie, a union leader and staunch Labour man, always had it in the house. Until 1969 when Murdoch got his grubby hands on it, he wouldn’t have wiped his arse with it then. It’s been a despicable piece of shite ever since. Shame on anyone who buys or have bought the crap.
