Corbyn wins with a big majority, Starmer’s majority slashed by independent candidate standing against Labour’s policy in the Middle East.
      Farage wins.

Labour majority now predicted to be 160 - a couple of very interesting results in Leicester to show the Muslim shunning of Labour over Gaza is bigger than anticipated.

Labour are winning, but this is nothing like 1997 - a lot of Tories are saying Labour haven’t won this election, we lost it, why did it take them so long to realise it?

Labour wins and the result which probably made it official was Rees Mogg losing

It’s been a very good night for Plaid as well, +2 seats and a large increase in voting share. They’ll be building to a good push at the Senedd elections

Re: Exit Poll Lab majority 170

All this pre-scripted nonsense from Starmer and his fan club about this landslide being due to him 'changing the Labour Party' is getting on my nerves.

He changed the Labour Party alright. Gutted it of a third of the membership and most of the distinctive (and popular) policies. Made it bland and offered no vision. Kept it safe for the arms industry and American private health companies.

But the landslide was down to an SNP and Tory collapse combined with a Reform surge. Labour barely moved the dial. If Starmer had managed to get up to the Corbyn Labour vote share of 2017 he might have had an argument. But he is barely above the 2019 share!

Four seats for the Greens and Plaid Cymru (which for all of the Farage bluster is currently the same as Reform), five seats for Independents.

                Greg Hands just lost.

Looks like Liz Truss has lost - according to a "strong indication" to the BBC, not sure if it's to Labour or Reform.

You didn't notice the blue team handing the baton to team red? I'm surprised they didn't put on buses to make it easier for the Tories to vote for Labour!

Labour are currently on 35 per cent of the vote on a low turn out of 60 per cent - what an endorsement for proportional representation that is.

Less than 60% turnout for Cardiff, says it all really….cardiff east just 53%! Same as the south. People aren’t interested in politics anymore as they no it makes no difference…..

They need to hire better actors to make it more believable.

Really pleased that PC, Lib Dems and Green did well. Much of the rest is due to the Tory vote collapsing and moving to Reform, except in Scotland.

I think I heard that Labour got just 20% of the eligible vote. Won't make any difference in the Commons, but this certainly doesn't feel anything like the Blair landslide - all a bit flat and low key..

Reform had 14.3% of the vote but only 4 seats
LD 12.2% of the vote but 71 seats.

What a electoral system we live in
