I voted for a Welsh assembly but regret it now

It's a juggernaut and the recent decision to increase members is unbelievable

I shudder to think of Plaid running the show down there

They have only one goal and if Scotland struggles to survive we would be on out arse

I decided in the days leading up to the election that I'd vote Labour one more time and then I was finished with them. There was a proviso though, I was assuming Starmer's Government behaved as I expect them to - if they pleasantly surprise me, I could be persuaded to vote for them again.

However, I certainly won't be voting Welsh Labour again if Vaughan Gething remains in charge of them and, based on their record since the Assembly came into being, I'm pretty sure I'm finished with them even if Gething stands down.

That old chessnut - almost as if to excuse yourself from what they do and specifically what VG has done. They have been in power for 26 years - you know their record - and your still prepared to give them one more chance. You might as well get Rolf Harris to look after your kids - in case the the first 2 trials were just bad luck.

The WAG under labour , especially under carwyn Jones has done some good stuff

It's the collapse under Drakeford and the idiotic situation of VG that needs sorting

I know you won't like this but the Tories will always be hated in Wales so getting Gething replaced and a decent leader in is important


I don't think the ordinary public and grassroots will put up with this for long and they certainly won't let your lot in

I support the idea of devolution but the standard of MS is appalling. I've met a few and been seriously underwhelmed by them all. Alun Davies who used to be my MS at Blaenau Gwent is thick as pig shit, rude and arrogant. I accept that most Westminster MPs are nothing to shout about either so maybe I'm expecting too much. But the Senedd has made a huge hash of things over the last few decades. Wales has slipped behind other areas of the UK on most indicators.

My view of things in the senedd is almost entirely the same. Add to that the lack of Welsh media scrutiny and general lack of interest of the Welsh people in what goes on there and you have a set of ingredients for poor politics.

I do hope things improve with Labour in Westminster as they will be criticised themselves for any unpopularity.

My view of things in the senedd is almost entirely the same. Add to that the lack of Welsh media scrutiny and general lack of interest of the Welsh people in what goes on there and you have a set of ingredients for poor politics.

I do hope things improve with Labour in Westminster as they will be criticised themselves for any unpopularity.

Yes, sorry I wasn't clear. I mean there isn't much of a Welsh media. Very few Welsh editions of newspapers, few Welsh news websites etc etc etc.
