      Not quite right.

In the UK Parliament, if 10% of the electorate in a constituency sign a recall petition against the MP, there has to be another election.

If this had happened to Sunak or if it happened to Starmer, they would be out as PM if they lost the by election.

There is no such recall in the Senedd

          Re: Vaughan Gething

Emily Price First Minister Vaughan Gething lost his cool during a Senedd committee probe on Friday (12 July) where he was quizzed over the sacking of a member of his cabinet. Responding to questions from opposition politicians on the evidence used to dismiss former social partnership minister Hannah Blythyn, the embattled FM appeared visibly angry. […]

 that's a cracking vid fair play. I defended Gething when this surfaced as a lot of people thought it was a smear campaign and I'd personally had very good responses from him and his team re. issues in Grangetown but he has to go. This is embarrassing. I find it all quite sad tbh for him, the people of Wales, party members and supporters of the Labour Party and an ex party member (me!).

You can only speak as you find butt and it's easy to speak and be critics with hindsight.

I've no doubt Gething has done the right thing previously but there appears too many contentious issues which leave others to question his behaviour.

Me included, he needs to go. The "donation' was enough to warrant it.

                      Re: Vaughan Gething

The only decent leader in my opinion since devolution has been carwyn jones ......and he obviously wasn't perfect

But rhodri , drakeford and now vg ......second rate all of them

I am surprised the labour vote has held up as much as it has

                      They have been warned

I am pissed off with the national labour party backing him , it's really embarrassing but I suppose they had no choice with a general election

But either he falls on his sword sharpish or they need to force him out

You can't have a leader of a country shouting ....let me finish ! let me finish ! like a kid when questioned

He's completely done the only question now is how to get him out

He'll be gone within a few months I think.

He won't survive the next little scandal or tight vote in the senedd.

Economy minister Jeremy Miles refuses to support first minister after week of drama in Senedd.

                              Welsh Labour Party, falling apart

Four ministers resign from Welsh government and say First Minister Vaughan Gething must quit

Four ministers have resigned from the Welsh government in protest over Vaughan Gething's leadership.
Mick Antoniw, Julie James, Lesley Griffiths and Jeremy Miles have all quit their cabinet positions, telling the first minister they cannot get on with their jobs "without you standing down".
Politics latest: Rayner promises 'devolution revolution' as more Tories urge Sunak to stay on
It comes a month after Mr Gething lost a vote of no confidence - but dismissed the motion as a "gimmick" and vowed to carry on.
In his resignation letter, counsel general Mr Antoniw said the Senedd was "rudderless" without a new leader as he urged Mr Gething to "put the country first

Wales needs confident and stable government. I do not believe you are capable of delivering that," he wrote.
"You have lost a vote of confidence in the Senedd. That is something I regard as being of major constitutional importance.
"It is clear that you no longer command a majority, that you will be unable to enter into the agreements necessary to pass a budget, and for all intents and purposes the Senedd is rudderless

He added: "We are all here to do the best for our country. I believe it is now necessary for you to choose to put the country first and resign as First Minister to allow an election for a new First Minister and leader of Welsh Labour."
The four ministers announced their resignations on separate social media posts on Tuesday morning.
In his letter quitting as Welsh economy secretary, Mr Miles told Mr Gething: "We cannot continue like this."
He added: "The events of the last few months including your loss of the confidence vote in the Senedd, have been incredibly painful.
"It's essential that we begin to repair the damage immediately, and I have reached the conclusion very regrettably that this cannot happen under your leadership.
"I can't see any way forward for us which allows us to get on with job we are elected to do, without you standing down."
Mr Miles ran against Mr Gething for the Welsh Labour leadership after Mark Drakeford resigned.
Mr Gething was elected to replace Mr Drakeford in March but quickly faced an array of problem

                                Gething has resigned.

Gething says claims of wrongdoing are "politically motivated", after facing weeks of controversy over campaign donations.
