    Re: Vaughan Gething

Good riddance. Vile man. Shame none of these ministers voted the right way in the no confidence vote. But at least they've done the right thing now.

      Re: Vaughan Gething

If he goes then the Labour Party should do what they begged for in parliament
They demanded an election immediately after boris Johnson and then again when Truss came in and they demanded another election when sunak came in
But being good socialists they say one thing and do another
Rotters all of them, isn’t that right sludge?

        GONE

Vaughan Gething has announced he will stand down as First Minister after four members of his government quit on Tuesday calling for him to resign.
The First Minister has come under sustained criticism in recent months for his decision to sack former minister Hannah Blythyn, and over a series of rows concerning donations he took while running to be Welsh Labour leader.
This led to the collapse of a co-operation agreement between his party and Plaid Cymru, and he subsequently lost a non-binding vote of no confidence in the Senedd.
Despite the vote he vowed to continue in the role.
However his position became untenable when four of his cabinet colleagues resigned in a coordinated fashion on Tuesday morning.
Mr Gething has only been First Minister for 118 days which will make him the shortest serving Welsh First Minister in 25 years of devolution.
        Explaining his decision, he said:
"I have this morning taken the difficult decision to begin the process of stepping down as leader of the Welsh Labour Party and, as a result, First Minister.
"Having been elected as leader of my party in March, I had hoped that over the summer a period of reflection, rebuilding and renewal could take place under my leadership.
"I recognise now that this is not possible.
"It has been the honour of my life to do this job even for a few short months."

          Re: Vaughan Gething

There needs to be a court case / investigation (a proper one not the one where they asked former FM and Labour Party member carwyn Jones to investigate)
Could do with an election as well, so whoever comes in has a mandate from the people rather than a few union mates and his back hander gang

I have to disagree with this one. While I was pleased with it in the UK gov, I don't think labour also winning all of the conservative seats in the sennedd would be a good thing at the moment.

He had to go and good riddance to him, the sort of man who makes you sympathise with those who say they’ve no time for politics.

Rt Davies is a bully boy and the Tories on the opposition benches are as corrupt with expenses as vg was with donations

Hearing him talk about how his 'integrity is important to him' is making me feel a bit sick. He really doesn't seem to think he's done anything wrong. Quite worrying really.

                            Vaughan Gething gone.

Gething says claims of wrongdoing are "politically motivated", after facing weeks of controversy over campaign donations.

                            Jeremy Miles incoming.

                              Re: Vaughan Gething

Labour have the majority of seats

They have a mandate from the voters

They will clearly try to elect a new leader then put themselves to the people at the next election

Plaid , Tories can cry as much as they want but labour are in government

Plaid leader wants an election well of course he does
