Robert Jenrick thinks anyone who utters the phrase should be clamped in irons for using terrorist language. Is he embarking on a war against religion now?

He was my bet to win the Tory leadership (now that Braverman has decided to spend more time with Nigel).Originally posted by Dave Blue View PostThis bloke is as dangerous as Farage, and probably twice as stupid and evil.
There is a good chance he will be one of the last two picked by the Tory MPs (if not him then Badenoch) - along with a 'centrist' like Cleverley or Tugendhat.
The Tory members will then choose the most right wing option available because that is their politics and they want to chase Reform.

The Tory members are Reform and Reform are the Tory members.Originally posted by jon1959 View PostHe was my bet to win the Tory leadership (now that Braverman has decided to spend more time with Nigel).

The Independent reported this and the phrase mentioned was “Allah Hu Akbar":-Originally posted by Dorcus View PostRobert Jenrick thinks anyone who utters the phrase should be clamped in irons for using terrorist language. Is he embarking on a war against religion now?
“Allah Hu Akbar means ‘god is Great’. It’s a basic Islamic saying that every Muslim in the world says in prayer. It is significantly the opening line of the call to prayer and the opening phrase of every prayer.
“Billions of us Muslims use it every day as part of our faith within our prayers. It is a common phrase like Christians would say ‘Jesus Christ as your lord and saviour’.
It's not very well researched in any case as a Christian would never say such a phrase to a non-christian or even a believer?
If asked about an entry point to their faith, they may reply with - "you must accept Christ Jesus as your Lord and Saviour" - as this is a personal decision that individuals must make themselves.

Try listening carefully for a few seconds next time, because if the Lord is your Saviour already then their preaching would be pointless!Originally posted by jeepster View PostYes they do,there has been bible bashers saying the lord god is your saviour in the town centre every time i go to town.
What they are saying is you (and everyone else) need to be saved because we are corrupt in thought, word and actions. That doesn't mean we continuously focus on these things, but our motives are mostly selfish and our perspective is mainly how I see things and how they will impact MY life, not those around me.
They are also saying that there is only one individual who can save you, transform you and strengthen you from within, giving you the ability to live the Christian life, and He is the Lord Jesus Christ.
It's ironic that those who have complained already (above and those who will rant below) end up mentioning 'Jesus Christ' more than your average preacher on a daily basis, but not in a respectful way; if they can work out why they do that then they may discover who is ultimately controlling their life and their destiny.
Acts 4:12 - "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”

Getting overheated over what they deem is nothing at all! Makes no sense.Originally posted by Dave Blue View PostI always find it fascinating that the most vitriolic anti Christian posters seem the most obsessed in pontificating on something they claim doesn’t exist.
There's something else going on
