He could afford food and a haircut if he spent less on the lottery.

Did either of you actually read it? He obviously has a budget for each month which includes money for lottery and food/haircuts but when he won the money he spent his budgeted money for the month immediately paying off his car insurance, thinking he'd get the lottery money imminently.

So now because of the delay he hasn't got either his own or the lottery money so is relying on foodbanks. He's been a bit silly in emptying his bank account before the lottery cash came in but at least read the flippin details before rampaging over here to furiously vent about how RIDICULOUS it is

Of course he could and he hasn't got that much hair so could miss that for a few weeks too, if it's free foodbank though, some people like that would prefer the free food and spend their money on what they want.

Yes, angry about him not being paid his winnings, but concerned about some people's lack of financial awareness and his chosen priorities.

But he's never said he has to use foodbanks usually. He's not using foodbanks and playing the lottery - he's having to use the foodbanks because he spent all his money paying his insurance thinking it would be replaced by the lottery money.

Not sure why I'm so hell bent on defending this man but here we are :hehe:

He'll use them from now and probably did before, free food why pay, extra £50 a week for fags booze and lottery tickets.

I haven't spent any money on a haircut since 2019. Bought a set of clippers and it's a DIY 0.5 each week. With that, and not spending a tenner a week on the lottery, I don't worry as much on life's necessities.

So you're guessing he'll use them from now on and guessing he used them before despite the article not suggesting he did either of those things, okellydokelly

In fairness the 71 year old is an oppressed serf in NCB's spectral view of the British Pensioner so any conclusion is possible, next!
