    Re: The Budget!

What's making me giggle is this line of tory scrubbers and chancers in the house of commons talking about the labour party going back on promises and lying ?

Where have these conservatives been for the last 14 years ? 🤣

You want your granny looked after ?

Yes ? Well shut up and suck it up

There's a beauty on there now saying its her hard working farmers that have been let down 😆

It was Thatcher, destroying protected rent for vulnerable tenants , letting the " market " control rents and giving huge amounts of taxpayers money to council tenants to buy their council houses ....that caused the huge housing crisis in the first place

Be great to see the control of low income housing back with housing associations and local councils

It's a bit rich for landlords who have made plenty of money in the private sector since the mid 1980s to now be getting out the begging bowl
Very very few? It's a for profit enterprise, not an exercise in altruism. Within our present economic system there is possibly an argument for private landlords owning and letting out holiday homes and the like but definitely not primary homes. People who need to rent their dwellings should have an absolute guarantee that their homes will be affordable, safe and sufficiently well appointed and maintained so that they have a secure tenure. Not all private landlords are bad by any means but many lack the wherewithal, resources and motivation to manage this sector appropriately. Best left to publicly funded experts.

Farmers are always bleating and still blame their cows.

Holiday homes, air BnB and the like are a significant part of the housing crisis. Much better from a social perspective to rent them as homes.

It's also massively altered the social eco system in many coastal towns around the UK.

Personally I'd have no issue banning or severely restricting air BnB, or reigning it back to its original purpose of being some kind of hippy enterprise where you stayed with owners of their dwellings in their spare rooms.

If you drive past a farm and hear bleating it's unlikely to be the farmer themselves..

Well I've done it many times and it's not the calves, sheep or goats. Farmers constantly bleat even in good times; I've never met a poor one yet, and I used to look after the books of a lot of them.

What kind of accountant are you then as my wife is ACCA qualified and an FD for a large UK organisation.

I’ve done been a bookkeeper in my time but plenty of AAT types pass themselves off as accountants I’ve only ask as you have been disclosing this information in the last few days, yet the way you have ridiculed my own business sounds totally unethical and against the code of practice, especially when you rely on people like me to make a living with what is essentially basic book-keeping which you have stated you undertake..

I've noticed successful people always choose their partners carefully.

All this spending is to sort out the crap you lot of feck heads are complaining about

It's irony on a huge level

But great to see the tory machine squirming

At least ten years of this
