So Mayor Bass is a power hungry fascist too?

It does matter, because it's his interpretation of it and he'd a very vocal political rival who I think takes a very poor take of most political topics in the last decade or so. So no, I don't agree with him.

But my thoughts on Alastair Campbell was only a small part of what I said..

What does that mean? I watched the video you posted and the Mayor was trying to put things into a context which you have ignored because it doesn’t your agenda.

She might be, i don’t know, but she only ticks about three of the fourteen boxes as far as I can see.

She is ticking some of the same boxes that Trump is ticking.

Hands up if you called the Democrat elites a bunch of fascists when this happened in Obama's backyard.

Hardly the same thing is it - why post just a headline and not the story?

Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker said his administration plans to activate up to 125 members of the state’s National Guard as part of a relief effort

                          Re: California

Skimmed the thread only but from skimming i would guess that it's a another TDS thread with fascism the core subject, just looking at Wiki, fascism can be defined in a number of different ways but all not nice, and yes in a accordance with any of the definitions, OMB would fall into some of the headings and sub headings, apply the wiki definitions to the EU and the current UK PM and there may be more fascism about than thought. Cutting to the chase the peaceful protests of California are resultant from Trumps election promise to remove as many undocumented migrants sanctioned by the previous administration, IMO Trump was easily defeated at the election but not from this current unhinged crop of Democrats who's only policies were to stop Trump at all costs including assignation attempts on his life, much of western Europe has suffered riots recently largely suppressed by MSM and for the majority the core topic of public discontent is based around the countries suffering mass undocumented migration, this isn't by accident and is classic Hegelian dialectic

                          1) the West just bombs countries into pieces (Create the Problem)
                          2) the people react, (riots) due to the influx, the pressure on local services, housing etc. etc. etc.
                          3) Solution, 15 min cities, compulsory ID, CBDC

Through out the western world we have zillions of bald +50 year old white men (in CCMB massive speak Far Right)
or we have zillions of people who's lives are being impinged upon because of their government's previous policies of destroying other lands for ill gotten gains.

IMO, there are very few people in Europe who are against migration and that their concerns are that their governments have allowed individuals to come through via the back door and that their schools, hospitals and infrastructure, housing etc. is beyond capacity and the problems that this brings.

America needs migration and most probably will need a lot more if manufacturing does return to the country en masse, The American dream was never a dream of mine growing up but we were always aware of their green card system if that's what you wanted to do, none of us leave our front door open for passers by on the street to pop in, make a cup of coffee, go upstairs to have a bath then raid the fridge for a bite to eat do we ? we do things in other ways via charity donations etc.

IMO the volume of undocumented are far too great to just go around snatching people of the street, the scenes that follow (peaceful protests) is too big a price

                          Just for some breathing space

I'd think along the lines of, allowing Trump to complete his wall to get some control over the border. This would partially satisfy his voters.

Give amnesty to all who chose that route into the country as long as they give their credentials. This would partially satisfy moderate Democrats.

As part of amnesty be allowed to repatriate if the person commits certain crimes outside a set of criteria set out in the amnesty

X party talks to formulate an agreeable 10 year formula for immigration, this would be to stop what has happened in the Trump Biden years, of the president cancelling the previous president out by the way of executive orders.

Much of new industry will be employing robots, AI and modern technology. It won't necessarily be the case of human beings clocking in after streaming through the company gates in the morning.

It's also a thread about the media and the slant they put on the news, and how people process that information. Most people will subconsciously organise seemingly non-trivial data it into familiar patterns, but that is not the way to analyse complex data, so it is also a thinking problem.
