I'm reading today it's overtaken the BBC every day last month, 1st time this has happened,

For the massive this isn't an endorsement, however if I ever watch any news on TV it's usually GB News and occasionally SKY news. Doris often has BBC news on so I do sometimes have to listen for a laugh, they still cover sport better than ITV IMO.

Do you ever listen to their Radio station? They do Meghan Markle for about four hours, people coming in on boats for 10 hours, Public sector workers for four hours, vegans for two hours, and if there's anytime left they freestyle it up on renewable energy, people on benefits, social workers and teachers, who they really seem to dislike. I have it on for five minutes on my way home from work just to remind me of what it's like to be at a family gathering........

Britain has the best propaganda in the world, it's almost transparent, accumulative, and very long lasting.

Does that mean GB news is now Propaganda as it's more popular than the BBC, and to make matters worse, MAINSTREAM! There's got to be some head scratching going on.

Na, I tend to get home when Michelle Dewberry is on I don't mind her, most of the time she has a lefty and a righty on to have a ruck, dont listen in the day, to pass the time away in the office i tend to listen to podcasters, i dont have any news apps on my phone anymore, i'm becoming grumpier, and grumpier the longer i go on :hehe: had a little laugh earlier when leaving for home, i'd forgotten about the concert tonight only to find out trying to enter the closed bus station, the guy Infront of me totally lost it when he couldn't open the doors. I casually mentioned to him after seeing the concert goers in wood street that the gig was taking place, he was rather vocal in his displeasure suggesting that its about time they demolished the stadium many profanities thrown in, my lad got engaged last week and i'm over the moon about it  the grandson has another fight coming up but its around November time i think.

I'm talking from experience, and it took a specific event to wake me from my slumber. Everything before that I generally swallowed hook, line and sinker as I wasn't paying much attention to what was going on.

BBC seems to be in Farage’s pocket. Last night on 10 o’clock they had an item on the boats (yet again) quickly followed by the immigrants of Newport and their dodgy dealings. Nige and his gang couldnt have planned it better if they wrote it themselves.

I know comedy is subjective. But listening to BBC news for a laugh? I can think of funnier things 🤣

                        Re: GB News

Part of a healthy diet of varied news sources.

It's "anti woke" if you like. In that it asks difficult questions. Way more balanced than it's left wing detractors (who never watch it) think.

Below Times Radio and the BBC for me but if you want to understand this country then GB news is far far better than the guardian, Express, Novara media etc.

The more people watch it the more we realize how much information is withheld from us in recent years too. Shines a really important light.

if that is true what type of numbers are we looking at ?

                          GB News figures ?
                          BBC news figures ?
                          Sky news figures ?

You often see claims from the ever expanding citizen journalists who claim they get more views than the mainstream legacy news outlets these days

would be interested to know the real viewing figures of the legacy media

in USA social media outlets have now taken over the mainstream channels when reporting on the news

A report also finds right-leaning audiences on X have almost doubled in the UK since Elon Musk's takeover.

                            Re: GB News

Never watched or listened to GB News, never will do either. That said, I barely ever watch BBC News although I do listen to 5 Live, Test Match Special and Radio Wales a lot.

Tend to rely on Times Radio and various other news channels on You Tube for my news coverage these days.

                              Re: GB News

Worth pointing out that this is comparing GB News channel (80,000) with BBC News channel (78,000) and not the news on BBC1 (millions). It's almost as if the headlines and articles are deliberately written this way to make out that more people get their news from GB than BBC, which they don't (even if you had a zero to the GB figures).

This is reflecting a huge decline in how people get their news. Only a fraction of a single percent of the population watch news channels, and the demographic that does tend to be older and more interested in the kind of content that GB News shows.

I'm sure the independent and critical thinkers on here already know this, of course.
