The Green thing will pass. The guy get tied in knots when pinned down on anything. He is abusive as hell and rarely talks about Green issues. He's basically turning the Greens into a radical left wing party that seemingly has little to do with ecological issues.

As Sludge says, I don't know where it leaves Your Party. I would say this though. I would choose Corbyn over Green at the moment.

That’s been the case for a long time Sludge and one of the reasons that many working class people become disillusioned with The Labour Party.
I wish that the likes of Blue Labour/Mick Lynch could get traction.

As for The Green Party…
Look at their manifesto, its views on immigration will appeal to the Internationalists who don’t believe in countries or borders, so their success depends on how many people in the country want open borders.

Maybe David Stephen Paulden (Zack Polanski) can hypnotize the electorate to going along with him.

The country has too many political parties for a first past the post system now labour and the tories have declined

Its clearly just going to lead to reform getting in on a low vote just as people complained labour did

If yourparty come along and take 5 points off the greens and labour then its an even more disastrous outcome

Whilst I wouldnt favour a republican v Democrats idiotic situation a sort of merging of labour , lib dems , greens etc v reform and the tories would at least ensure that reform could be blunted

A uni left of centre party isnt ideal but I am afraid that's the reality now the right wing in the uk smell power

Carol Vorders has dumped Starmer for the greens hasn't she ? The Greens are climate disciples which as you know isn't my way of thinking but I might vote for them if its a route to stop Reform.

Probably doesn't need to talk about green issues though does he? We all know where the leader of the Green Party stands on green issues. Makes more sense for him to let people know what he stands for in a more general sense if he wants to attract a wider scope of voters

Yeah that is a fair point.

I think though, that green issues generally are not inherently left wing and most of his recent statements have been very left wing about topics wholly unrelated to green issues. I suspect he is doing that to grab attention (and that's working!) but there's limited appeal in it all and he is tripping himself up.

He was basically saying in a podcast interview I saw yesterday that whilst he is a vegan, doesn't drive and recycles etc, that all of these things are performative and make little difference in the face of global capitalism etc.

Interesting enough, but the idea that "we should all do our bit" and "collectively we can make a difference" is a cornerstone of green thinking for decades.

I should imagine a few of the older guard are cautiously looking on
