You are seeing the bigger picture, but it's the one that you want to see. This place is turning into a Rorschach test, and I am probably the only objective fence sitter on here.

Strange but true(ish), I once had to complete a Rorschach test as a kid and cleverly answered the ink blots all look like space invaders from the arcade 80s game, apart from the last card where I suggested a massive fanny.

Not sure what any if that means but it seems fitting.

It was hard to think how the videos could get more damning but stepping towards the turning car, and shooting with a phone still in your hand (which he still manages to hold onto) , have managed to do it.

i don't know anything about US Federal Law, but if a federal government agent with a gun is telling me to get out of the car, then I'm getting out of the car. Of course, I may be wrong and driving away is the best course of action? Are there any Americans on here who can confirm what the recommended procedure is?

It was an extremely stupid thing to do, and watching that video I understand the whole thing less. I think we all know that it was a foolish thing but of course the consequence for it shouldn't be three bullets in the head and the idea she was genuinely trying to kill him is highly highly unlikely.

Tragically in a country with so many guns these things will happen. We live in such a partisan climate when it comes to US politics that the victim is used by both sides to make wider points. It's depressing as hell.

A period of genuinely focusing on the victim and her children and wife wouldnt go amiss really.

She moved the steering wheel to the right - away from the ICE goon with the phone camera and the gun - and travelled no more than a few feet before he shot her in the face.

Your take on this is that she brought it on herself?

The code of conduct for federal agents EXPLICITLY states agents are not allowed to use deadly force on a fleeing suspect. All the video shots clearly show the officer who fired the fatal shots drawing his weapon as the driver's vehicle lights were in REVERSE!

She had to make a wide turn to avoid the open door of an ICE vehicle on her passenger side. The ICE officer having drawn his gun had plenty of time to step out of the way and shoot at her tyres if necessary. Also it is hardly credible the agent's life was in imminent danger as he continued to use his non gun hand to film the incident. ICE officials are not equipped with body cams.

They are also immigration officials. They can arrest illegal immigrants and those assisting illegal immigrants to resist arrest. None of those situations appear to apply here.

I have never had a masked man appear from nowhere, swearing at me and trying to open my driver door ,so I'm not so quick to call it a stupid reaction.

I don't have any take, I am trying to understand what happened. Why didn't she get out of the car when instructed to or isn't that relevant? I mean can those type of instructions just be ignored?
