Re: Chinese embassy
As we speak , Chinese , U.S , France , U.K and Russian representatives are all dining in Davos at the annual WEF gathering.Originally posted by Dorcus View PostIt might be that in the long term we would be better placed having stronger economic and military ties with China than USA. Re: Chinese embassy
Having worked for the MoD for 40 years I don't think forging stronger military ties with China is on the cards. China will remain a one-party state that controls its population with a rod of iron - and although they engage in very serious espionage their major aims at the moment are to secure raw materials, extend their territorial waters and increase their footprint of influence across the globe, particularly in Africa.Originally posted by Dorcus View PostIt might be that in the long term we would be better placed having stronger economic and military ties with China than USA. Our only hope is a stronger, united Europe.
