    Leadership challenges

Labour MPs cannot formally hold a vote of confidence in the party leader. However, MPs may initiate a leadership challenge each year prior to the annual session of party conference.

An MP wishing to challenge an incumbent leader must be supported by 20% of Labour MPs. If enough support is gathered to initiate a stage two membership ballot, the incumbent leader is automatically on the ballot paper, and they do not need to seek nominations from MPs.

Elections for the deputy leader of the party follow the same format.

If Starmer resigns a similar process is followed - managed by the National Executive Committee.

Any challenger still needs support of 20% of MPs to stand - and has to be an MP themselves.

'Operation Burnham' presumably now in overdrive?

The reality is. it will be another Wefer installed, my guess would be the current climate Wefer Is waiting in the wings for the nod,the current installment will go only when Deep State decides it's time.

The last time a PM got the nod by vote, the deep state manouvered the situation giving her no choice other than to resign, it isn't about liking or disliking her and her policies, she was ousted by the blob as she calls them for a Wefer, market manipulation is real !!!!!!. corbyn was never going to be allowed to be PM either.

Good grief, Heath. Are you talking about Liz Truss?

The only 'her' PMs are Truss or May or Thatcher - and fro your comment it must be Truss?

So Liz Truss was forced out by the Deep State and by a market manipulation conspiracy?

Not because she was incompetent, deluded, arrogant and stupid?

And FWIW she was also a paid up member of the Davos Set!

Also, FWIW there are ruling classes, and bureaucratic castes, and governing cliques - and their enablers and followers - and the WEF is an important forum where the rich and powerful meet and share ideas for maintaining their wealth and influence. But it is not a secret conspiracy forum. It mostly operates in plain sight.

It is not the Illuminati - it does not rely on funny handshakes or secret passwords. It is 'the few' doing what they always do.

Can the deep state take you away and put you in a padded cell for the sake of everyone who reads this MB?

              You’re off your trolley :-)

Leave Starmer alone, he's doing just fine!

I don't mind him at all but I just can't see life being any easier for him, no PM at the moment can instantly solve everyone's problems all at once (which seems to be the requirement).

The moment anything goes wrong for him the knives will be out and in particular the knife with 'you weren't elected, where's your mandate' written on it.

But he will have his own 'I am not Starmer' knife to use!

Truss wasn’t voted in by anyone apart from the loons who make up the Conservative Party. Johnson was the last Tory PM to win at the vote which really counts seven years ago.
