It's like in football management, as soon as a few whispers of discontent start to whip up it usually signals the beginning of the end. When it gets to the fans chanting for you to go, it's usually days away.

He seems intent to cling on but eventually I think he will be pushed.

But there's no way he lasts until the GE surely. Not sure what he could say really, don't suppose there is anything.

Keir Starmer just had what to me was perhaps his best PMQs for a long time, and came across very personably too.

Bizarre situation with the upcoming by-election and what it means but I wonder if he will welcome some scrutiny of Burnham for a few weeks?

I'm not sure I agree with that, but then i think all PMs in PMQs obfuscate and fail to answer questions put to them

Starmer was relaxed and quick witted today , something he has needed to be since coming into office

Its almost as if he had a weight lifted off his shoulders and knows hes on his way

He would in another world make a decent foreign secretary in the mould of douglas hurd

I think however he needs to be out of the firing line these days
