For one person to have that kind of wealth, when poverty still exists all over the world, is absolutely mind blowing.
It's an obscene amount of money for one individual. I wonder how many on Twitter calling him out over it have made a nice stash from his company's!!!!, 3 Mansions multi millionaire socialist Bernie slagging him off this morning was quite amusing Musks tax bill was 11 billion in 2021. But with you all the way regarding how much and poverty it's just not acceptable.

Are Sanders' properties really three mansions? One of them is a one-bedroom house and it's questionable as to whether the two other properties could be defined as mansions.

Not to mention, bringing up Bernie is kind of dodging the question. Not saying Bernie needs all those properties, but he's at least raised the conversation point into the public zeitgeist in a palatable way.

According to my best mate Al, Sanders is worth $2.5-3 million which has come from his Senate salary and more recent royalties from a couple of his books. He also has a small pension from his time as Mayor of Burlington. He has a main family home in Vermont, a one bedroom house in Washington (for Senatorial duties) and a cabin by a lake. He does not have any mansions. He is not living on social security cheques in an inner city Project, but neither is he in the wealth bracket of most prominent US politicians. And it is all public information. Which makes the constant misrepresentation of his circumstances as both futile and laughable.

Indeed. Some people swallow things whole if it befits their dogma.

He's another wealthy champagne socialist, it wasn't that long ago another champagne socialist was telling me it would be the right thing for me to give half a house back to the council, futile and laughable, especially as I do not own it.
Musk”s public appearances offer conclusive proof that he has not made all of that money through his charisma and affability - in fact, he almost makes me feel sorry for him because he appears to lack so many basic human qualities. I don’t of course because although excessive wealth has only bought you excessive influence the fact he appears to relish what the world has become so much makes him someone whose wings have to be clipped somehow.

You often write in quips by applying derogatory and silly labels for people but you should read Sanders' autobiography or a biography of him - as he has been deeply involved in a multitude of good causes for the not-so-well off all of his life.
Calling him a champagne socialist is rather trite and puerile.

Why bother finding things out when X can provide all of your information in 15 secomds. No ****ing wonder Musk is a Trillionaire, some of it he hasn't had to work for.
Bernie Sanders has often been criticized for owning three houses and having a net worth of around $2 million, especially by those on the right who call out his stance on wealth inequality. But Sanders has a simple explanation for his wealth and shared his thoughts during an appearance on the Lex Fridman Podcast. Don't Miss: Are you rich? Here’s what Americans think you need to be considered wealthy. Can you guess how many retire with a $5,000,000 nest egg? The percentage may shock you. CD Popula

There's a huge difference between 2.5-3 million and a trillion. The way prices are going these days a million is nothing. It's just that the rest of us, who are funding the billionaires lavish lifestyles, are content to be fed thin gruel.

There is Dorcus and I don't really mean to condone Musks wealth in any way. I find it improper in the world we live in and whilst I have always sided on here with those who make wealth for themselves and generate wealth for others this is beyond the pale regarding his personal wealth. Regarding uncle Bernie it would have been more appropriate if I had used the word homes instead of Mansions so I take that one on the chin, he does have a very nice property on a lakeside however, so I take from this he doesn't believe in climate change either 🤣
