What's insane and suicidal about being absorbed into a country where the governance structure is superceded by a guy writing instructions on a piece of paper and waving them at a camera, that sounds robust enough to me to not end badly.

You are completely overthinking what was a final observation about the fact that a governor of the bank of England had just been elected PM of another country - a unique scenario - and that his tone on the importance of sovereignty and economic independence are of course different. I get that. The context is difference, but it's still an observation. He was happy for the UK to lose independence over tariff setting etc, yet stresses the importance of Canada being able to do so.

You can use the exaggerated language if you want. It's hardly uncommon for people to do so, but I don't think it's an accurate representation of reality, to summarize the UK enacting a democratic result as "bleating" or to just refer to people as 'lunatics" but that's your prerogative!

And not forgetting the stratospherically increased odds of being murdered by a gun toting crazy or super zealous cops. That'll do for me Tommy!

Extortion followed by a forced Ukrainian surrender must surely be enough for Trump to ‘earn’ a Nobel Peace Prize?

Carney wins his election by 2.5 per cent and the man baby says it’s “almost even” and yet his win in November by 1.5 per cent is a “landslide”

That’s a trump in a nutshell. You can’t even call it spin - just outright lies.

You might like this one. A few weeks ago, when they deported that dad and said he was in MS13, trumps team made a Photoshop of a tattoo allegedly on his knuckles. Each symbol was supposedly M S 1 or 3. So they helpfully printed each letter above the symbol to illustrate it clearly.

Trump seems to believe, very very adamantly, that the letters and numbers were actual tattoos.

Mind you, this is the same guy who expressed disbelief and admiration that his son could switch on a laptop.

I dunno, I thought the interviewer was trying to move on while Trump was the one going back to the topic, and looping the rope round his own neck.

I am not overthinking anything, you made a a bit of a false comparison and have now partly accepted that, good for you.

As for bleating, there was lots of bleating once the reality set in post-brexit. The pathetic talk of the EU 'punishing us' was flowing from previously overconfident brexiteers on a daily basis. I didn't describe the process of us enacting Brexit as bleating, that wouldn't even make sense.
