The issue for narcissists is that they find it difficult to accept that they are wrong. When they are confronted with the evidence of just how wrong they were, let's take something like Covid pronouncements, they descend into denial, anger and ultimately retreat.

It's over four months since Ukraine - Russia kicked off. I had thought Putin may have directed one of his hypersonic missiles to destroy Zelensky's Kiev palace on day one to underline a message that he wasn't mucking around and not an inch of Ukraine was safe from his weaponry.

It remains untouched today after NATO and friends have not only poked the bear but kicked lumps out of it.

As time goes on I get the uneasy feeling that this could go very wrong. If friend Putin is pushed into a corner then things could get seriously nasty. To avoid a Dr. Strangelove situation we need a sane senior official within the Kremlin who would "eliminate" him and/or his senior generals should the need arise.
